Why don't I dream of my father?

I've always dreamt of my mother and my siblings. But not my fahter. why?

my symbolic dreams are typically these:
1. threatened by water (but with positive ending)
2. flowing over the town (it feels so good)
3. falling from height (but with positive ending)
4. worry for an exam (I'm too late for example)

All other dreams are directly connected to my thoughts during the day. For example after I asked myself a lot why I don't dream of my father, I had a dream that he was dying. After I had wondered why I never dream of snakes even if I 'd watch some animal documentaries on TV, I dreamed of a snake. In both case it happened only once and (I mean to say) because of my intensive thoughts before.

Now I always think about my family. But I only dream of mother, siblings, cousins, aunts...

Maybe it is a good thing after all.
