Which way you going, Billy?

Bill came to our town just days after the Monica story broke. I don't like the man but the power of the office is intoxicating. Watching Air Force One land was so cool and the motorcade (I was sure Bill waved right at me) contained lots of vehicles including one with no windows and filled with guys with guns ready.
The local security bill for Bill's presence was quite large. And the cost of re-scheduling of flights, etc. -- the interstate was even closed off for several miles while his motorcade went from the airport to downtown. Buildings surrounding the area where he was going to be were searched several times. Maybe the people of Nebraska DON'T want the president to visit them; maybe they don't want to pay the cost of bringing him in. Does any one know if just because the President wants to come, that he's welcomed? I don't know but maybe the powers that be have discouraged it. And now that he's a lame duck, why bother?
