Okay my fellow Gem's.

I seem to be all or nothing in this category and it's driving me nuts.
I tend to be a drama queen but I'm really sick of it.

My life kind of goes like this: I do nothing but watch TV from the time I get home from my mundane job until I pry myself off the couch at midnight and go to bed. I do this over and over.

Then Blam someone approaches me with a problem and the next thing I know I'm living the life of chaos and drama.

Then I go to the point where I either want to kill them or kill myself to get peace back.

Can anybody relate—?

Any suggestions for balance?

I've heard of health chaos and I think that is the biggest oxymoron I've ever heard.

Well, you see. It kinda sorta goes like this. Gemini's fault is that it has a restless mind. It can't find peace. Do NOT over-stimulate (: music for example, only listen to real music: violins etc.) and do NOT attempt too much communication. Do not over stimulate with electronics or too much motion. Yoga is just about the only workout that doesn't put stress on the body. I am involved in religion. It's perfect. It will give you a different outlook, that there's more to life than TV, and oh, that's satifying. I suggest Hindu religion, as it is good experience for people in religion because it is the first religion. (If you don't know much about that religion... I'll delightfully save your time and say "don't worry, you're not so sure it isn't the first anyway.")

Only be around people that heal you. Family is just perfect. You? You seem to... live by yourself. TV... over stimulation, or rather turns your brain off. Don't miss any meals or you won't feel nourished or happy the way the average meal skipper goes.

I'm in religion. I know all about good and bad. It's not so simple, either. There are all these complications. I know ultimately I want to shed light on myself, yet retreat to ignorance (the dark.) I practically shove away positive powers and am basically just asking for it. Then I shed tears, I scrape the walls and carve words into things, words that undermine my feelings. Then I realize the lesson God is showing me and realize why I ever wanted to leave the darkness again, but then I sometimes might find myself in that same place. Longing for it. Wanting it back. Missing it. I can't answer the word for all Geminis, but... The dark side of Gemini... You don't want to go there... In fact they are smart, they're pretty damn smart and they hide it from you, for your own good whether they are aware of that or not. Geminis are naturally positive and bright. Here is a personal quote of mine: "The more pure something is, the more tainted it can get." It's like when you separate the good and bad - you can't do this if they're balanced. It's like when you take a murderer and turn him into what he would be if he was the opposite. A healer. Do you follow? Ha and I bet so...

Out of everything, I am most puzzled about my essence. Am I truly pure? Was I always naturally evil? At least I'm humane and civilized enough to write to you friend. I can relate to you... But only a bit. What I do to avoid that dull life? Keep myself busy. That's what Geminis do, I seem to do it without intention. Then again... It isn't good for being restless.

yeah on one part we do love chaos but i would say that is untill we tend 2 mature ourselfs but then again we deal with yin & yang so we have 2 balance that out 2 really find that inner peace we've been looking for.. but it aint nothing easy 2 deal with but i would say if your gonna deal with religion then do your research on it before you put your all into it or else you'll be consider wishy washy when it comes 2 intellect

"if your gonna deal with religion then do your research on it before you put your all into it or else you'll be consider wishy washy when it comes 2 intellect"

Believe me I don't scathe lightly over logic. If I choose a certain religion, there's probably a nice reason or two I've done it. But I never Actually chose religion really, I was born into it.

"So weird seeing all these old threads back."

LOL hey it's all old enough I'm not religious anymore!
Man, 2007...

But Gemini is too scattered. Need to find a middle ground between those two twins and pull itself together. Seriously.

I used to be an immense drama queen when I was younger, but after fucking up various relationships & making myself quite unpopular in high school, I grew out of it :p it was often that words came out of my mouth before I even realised what I was saying.

Now, I TRY to avoid it like the plague. I'm detached.. don't get involved in things.

But chaos LOVES me. My life is so fucking complicated whether I like it or not & I guess that makes it more interesting.

I'm trying to have a quiet phase at the moment.. keeping my phone off, minimal social contact.. reading a lot and generally becoming more introverted. I wonder how long it will last.

"Why would a sign that is already torn internally and infinetly confused with its duality be drawn to chaos ?"

It's true the first thing coming to mind reading the first thread's post (again?) is... "What? It's not necessary that you like chaos - NOBODY would actually enjoy a hooked in, dead life of TV!" (Despite how many live it in the narrowing definition of the word 'fun'.)
But it's true that she says after needing it to change so much she suddenly finds herself amidst chaos.

I do believe we can control those things.

If the need is great enough, we can attract things like that rather fast. We can attract/create anything. We're creative beings, humans. Mammals. Emotional. Spiritual.
I would say danger/trouble/disaster any of those things does sure kill boredom. You may not like boredom, but boredom is certainly worse than death. After all death is not 'bad'. It's true, it can be quite amusing (as long as you're not the one who's bored) so we don't quite take it so seriously but while everyone are freaking out about death they really don't give boredom another thought. Boredom is 'dangerous' in the least interesting sense ever. It's a sort of light depression where even in a world full of activities you can't shake the thought that there's just "nothing to do". I don't think that's true. I think a simple solving cure for boredom is that you DON'T want to do anything. You want rest. You want peace. It is unfortunate how many people mistake peace for boredom. "Peace and balance is BORING. Hell. I wonder what that's like..."

So badassGEM, watching TV even more than you'd want, being bored, I'd say you create disorder in your life to cease the boredom. You think chaos will make life more fun, or at least, are desperate enough to rather life in chaos than in the small bounds of boredom.
But you don't even want that. It's not chaos you crave. Because it becomes even too much for you, a Gemini, and you just want balance again. One would think that's something a Libra would want. No. Everyone wants some sort of balance.

(And I do think Geminis love excitement even if it means chaos and they're already a bit disordered themselves. I think the lack of focus, and the need to be fast and hyper is what creates that imbalance and chaos within themselves. And it's true when you put it the other way, that chaotic people crave chaos, it makes little sense of course.)

I don't think you don't know what peace is. Peace is contentment and all those things. Not exactly boredom, not exactly chaos. I think what would make more sense to me (and is a theme of people more often than not) is you don't feel you deserve peace.
So you go to either end of the scale but never allow yourself to settle down. Subconsciously, some part of you is certainly there. It is in all of us. The unforgiving inner critic. As long as it is not integrated with its opposite, it will continue to work on its own ends when it wills, to your demise. Maybe you've recognized it consciously for some reason. Maybe because you're a Gemini it's come out and is really just getting in the way of your life. As a Gemini perhaps it is time to integrate, or maybe integrate the extremes once you've explored both ends.
Either way, any way, I'd say it all has to do with how much you're willing to have/take. I can't be sure of what type of life lessons are involved, but you don't have to do it if you don't want to. You're in control.

"I would think you folks would love the simple and stable like taurus ."

Yes but Taurus is stubborn : P
That's what happens when yer feet are stuck too firmly in the ground. Sometimes you don't have enough room for its equivalence of change.
Anyway I like stability too. When you're centered, you're not as easily swayed by other people's opinions. You don't let manipulators pull you in every which direction. You're more in control of your life and have a clearer head as to what's going on.
