gem at work

Hello Gems,

We have a not so new "any longer" gem at work, first time we met 3 months ago I felt very attracted to her but at the same time for some reason I didn't feel at ease about her "gut feeling" so I stayed away..all of a sudden 2,5 months later we clicked like crazy(she loves spending time at my desk, its quite obvious to everyone at the office that something is going on) I only realised this a week into it, she caught me by surprise..now I know she started getting closer as she ended her long term relationship..

I've never been with a gem before and I don't even think that I know many at all. However I've done a bit of reading on this board and yeah would really like to hear your opinion on what can I expect out of this gem?

I'm scorp/virgo and she is gem/taurus + we both have moon in cancer..

I'd love to add my 2 cents, but I don't know much about earthy Gems. I only know one earthy Gem female. She has a Taurus rising and says it makes her quick to anger. I have no idea if other Gem/Taureans feel that way.

I guess I have 2 questions: 1 do you gems jump from one relationship to another..? I personally need some time in between. 2 how do I find out if she is in only for the chase or if there is more to it?

Gems are fully capable of jumping from one relationship to another if they choose. She may have just ended her LTR, but you don't know how long ago it ended MENTALLY for her. Be prepared to hear a lot about her ex- that can really upset a Scorpio. She won't be meaning to offend you- talking helps us process, and the ex will be a big topic in her mind.

Gems don't usually chase- we are chased (fliting isn't the same as chasing- we're going to flirt no matter what). Since we are used to being chased, it's intriguing when we meet a man who isn't responding in the normal way. We may seem like we're not paying a lot of attention to things, but we're very good at picking up the vibes of an interested man. If a Gem is actually chasing, it's invariably after a man whom she failed to excite and she may or may not want want him when she gets him.

You're a Scorpio, so we can assume you're mysterious and have a great poker face. She may find you intriguing, or she may have you in a safe friend box. Ok thanks again to both of you...I tought I give you an update..

We had a golf day at work, and me and the Gem in question had a cart for ourselves (on her request, she is the bosses PA so she got her way and im glad she did) we had so much fun and got drunk by the end of it, obviously we came last but we didnt care hahaha we laughed so much, at the end of the day she was very touchy feely which btw never happened before...I made sure I leave before she did, just because I didnt want her to think she's got me already. I'm so falling for her at this stage but to her I only show that im very interested, and thats about it...

Few days later and I think she is into me as well, I'm the only one around the office (i've not met any of her friends yet, and i dont think im goods gift to women, just the way it seems to me)that can change her mood..if im happy shes up, if im down she is down as well...no one else affects her this way, and I watched for this 🙂

All above said and the fact that im now over the moon for her. I decided that I will have to get over myself and let her go...I'm jelous and possesive and If we get together I will not be able to tolerate her flirts and the way she behaves around other man..It bothers me a litle bit atm and I can keep it to myself but if i get any more emotionaly attached to this girl I will not be able to just sit there and watch her make herself available to other man in my presence. (and I understand that she isnt doing that but just having fun. However that goes aginst all that I beleive in, and to me it looks like as she was always on a look out for someone more interesting or more fun than me..)

I think she would have to change a lot about her ways to fit into my picture...hence I'll just get over it as I dont want her to change the way she is just to fit in with me...I'd never do that for anyone (and Im not talking about lil things but major personality traits) so I dont expect it from others either..

Its a shame because I'm so falling in love with her and it has not been this clear for me in a long time...still its better this way, othervise someone is gonna get badly hurt..

I'll just have to keep looking, it seems..and not into Gems by the looks of it 🙂)

Cancersun, if you are with a Gem and point out to her that something she is doing is bothering you, she just might change it out of love for you (but she also might tell you to get over it- just sayin). I'm with a jealous Scorp, and I never give him a reason to worry when we're out together. I know how he is, and don't want to make things harder for him. Remember that her flirting isn't a signal that she's after someone else. It's just a natural way to relate to people. Also, remember that Gems often think we're just being nice to people, but others misinterpret it as flirting.

Ok, two weeks later and its still on..push and pull; hot and cold haha damn its a rollercoaster! I thought I would get bored much sooner hahha

We had good and bad days, couple of times we even ignored each other for a few days in a raw sometimes she makes the first move to make it good, other times I do. I've asked her for a lunch couple of time she gently declined, after a while she asked we go out for drinks after work couple of times I declined 🙂 its my turn to ask again! I feel that I'm getting to know both of the twins haha I also must admit that better I get to know her the easier it becomes dealing with her flirty side, just about doesn't bother me at all as now I can tell the difference between her flirting stiles lol it shocked me to learn that gems can flirt even with people they genuinely dislike 🙂 go figure!!!

I've toned down my emotions and expectations as I figured this getting to know you game is going to last a while longer until she is ready to take it further...

Yes I can see where you are going with this, no girl has ever had me this interested for this long with no body contact at all haha and I do give her a lot of credit for this! 🙂

Also this is partly a reason for me toning down my emotions, she is getting nothing more than this unless she is willing to show me that she wants it. In other words, I'm only getting hooked if we are both in it 😉
