With my friends, I'm not like this.. However, I might be like this until I have an established relationship with a routine with a man. I love stability, I hate inconsistency.
Plus, if we like you we want to communicate with you. I don't talk on the phone much but if I do, it's with the ones I love. 🙂

@ Toker...LOL!!! I'll share a secret with you....back in 2006 he asked me to marry him right after I finished my MBA and moved. I wasn't ready and ended the relationship, and it really hurt me because I knew it hurt him to the point where he cried really big alligator tears and I had to try and comfort him and explain to him I just wasn't ready for that big of a committment. I'm a bit of a "rebel" and am never in any rush to settle down. He knows how I am and always calls me a "butterfly"...lol! However, he knows I worked hard at us remaining friends (because that's what a real friend would do right?!) and got him on board with it & now we're fine. With the only exception of him telling me about a few months ago that he's still in love with me, which I just don't have/reciprocate those exact feelings, and am honest with him about it. Not trying to lead him on in any way, shape, or form....haven't seen him in years...only telephone convo. So it's a very subtle balancing act of making sure our friendship supercedes any other feelings/emotions he may have for me. I tried to leave this "relevant" part of the original post I made on here...but noooooo Toker....u just had to explicitly state it clearly....dam Gems....I swear....LOL!!! 🙂 😉

Him: (after no response from me) Well I'm in the office so talk with you later
Me: (after a few more min cuz I'm on a dam call already!) Hey....sorry mom on phone and appt right after. I'll call u on way to appt.
Him: yay...i'll call u tomorrow
Me: Ok....I'll be here
(Now here is where my patience gets tested horribly cuz anyone in their right mind would think this would be or should be the end of the dam convo!)
Him: you good? you need to chat for a bit or something today?
Me: I'm ok....just trying to get some things straight with mom about my move....you and I can talk further tomorrow. (thinking WTF?!?!?! Didn't we just establish we're going to talk tomorrow...can't he see I'm f***ng occupied...I know dam well I just told him this!!!!)
Next day he calls and we talk for a few min....light convo....then I get a call from another fam member and tell him I'll call him back in a few min. An 30 - 45 min passes by and he calls me and leave a vm cuz I'm still on call. Here is text following his vm after another 10 min later:
Him: what happened to few min
Me: Sorry was on phone longer than I expected and by time I got off u left vm saying u were leaving for the day and we'd talk later....so I didn't bother calling back and just figured we'd talk later as YOU stated. Now my cleaning lady here cleaning my place.
Him: tell her don't forget the cabinets
Me: She always does cabinets (smdh cuz nothing else left to say and just ended the dam convo there!!!!)
He's truly a friend so I spare him my sharp tongue....but y'all Gems and this comm thing is a MESS sometimes!!! 🙂
