I am a gifted liar, but I try not to do it. I lie mainly to save people's feelings or to sidestep serious trouble.

I think everyone tells lies; even harmless ones--a lie is a lie. However, I try to be very honest because my conscious won't let me do otherwise. I don't feel good if I'm not completely honest. Do I tell people I've got something else to do when I just want to be by myself? Yes. Have I lied about not feeling well when I really did (yes, but not often). I don't feel bad when I tell those lies. But I really try to be honest when asked a question or if I did or said something and it comes back later.
