How Many Gems Interested in Mysteries, True Crime

Gemini is known for being a more mental type, and I'm anecdotally curious as to whether my passion for the mysterious is shared by other Gems. I love true crime, especially following a link trail on the Internet, finding more and more about not only the crime, but the background of the perp and victims, and sometimes movies based on it.

I also enjoy mystery novels that are completely fictitious and I do watch horror films, but I prefer them to be "smart horror" that is more psychological or supernatural than gory, though I will admit to carrying a torch for some of the slasher flicks from my early life, just because.

I wonder if this is common at all amongst intellectually curious Gems, or has more to do with my creepy Scorpio Ascendant. 😉

I am intensely intrigued by mystery, especially what's actually going on behind current events. My research has concluded that much of what we're being told is utter crap. But so many in this country are sheeple and don't care to open their eyes or their brain. Today's reality is all about perception. But it's NOT Truth.

I used to read mystery books and loved watching shows that cover things I can't explain. Listening to shows as "C2C AM" as opened my paradigms and made me really think
about so much information our society has not been privy to as a whole. There IS SO much info we are being deprived of, it's ridiculously insane.

The great thing about the internet and new media is that at the least, we can glean much info on our own or in groups and discern the evidence available to us. One day everything that I question will be revealed. Sadly, much of what I know now will occur and MOST people won't have a clue what's coming. When it hits, it will be devastating.

Knowledge is power. Open your mind and ask yourself is what you see and read each day is reality or something you are told to believe?

Gemini=Inquisitive. Thank God for this gift. I'd hate to live my life with my eyes shut. Even when reality is scary as hell.

I've been expecting a thread like this in the geminis board or somewhere on Dxp.. I thought mayb was just beeing post even b4 i joined DXP... The truth is that science facts, started as a science fiction.. And alot of things that are now happening were just never being believed to happen in the past..
i have this gift of seeing things from fictions that are actually coming to be the true fact, sometimes when i talk to people they just say im insane.. So i keep it to my self.

Hey this is a great post!

I'm glad so many people are responding.

I'm interesting that it's not necessarily a Gemini or Scorpio thing, I wonder where trends lie, and if the difference may be in the motive for interest or approach or what.

What's interesting to me, though, is how random things were and how much people got away with up until the 1980s. I must admit part of what speaks to me about all of this is the greater freedom, the greater secrecy, and the greater bizarre mysteries that occurred before the Internet, before things were so "standardized" etc.

But I think it says something unavoidable about people, and that's why I like searching for the facts underneath or behind the case.

I also really just like the bizarre cases, like I mentioned in the Scorp Asc thread. A good place for short blurbs on bizarre but true solved murders from the 20th century are on YouTube...there's this person named FunWithStuttering who got 8mm footage and facts about strange crimes and made 5 minute videos out of them. Definitely worth watching.

Yeah I'm not sure what I'd do without the Internet. I probably would have been one of those people doing amateur underground searches of unsolved mysteries and urban legends back in the 70s and 80s.

The Internet makes the information so much more accessible. It's pretty shocking if you think about how much people DIDNT know before our generation.

Don't let people squelch your instincts and your need to seek the truth. I too have family and coworkers who think i'm nuts. I used to get offended. Now I simply educated them in a very simple and sound manner. I leave them asking questions. I encourage them to research what I've told them on their own. When they can't explain certain topics or anomalies, it makes them even more curious. Some will just accept that things can't be explained and move on. But there will be those who awaken out of their trance and go through that "OMG" moment.

I informed my entire neighborhood about what the government is spraying in the skies above us and why. I informed them about the Smart Meter and it's role in Agenda 21.
Some of them just blew it off. However, when we found the new smart meter on their home that was replaced by the Utility company without their consent, people started asking questions. When I pointed in the sky to the aerosols being sprayed and what to look for, I had more converts. By the end of the summer, 90% of my neighbors were understanding reality a little more and asking questions. My hope is that they in turn educated their friends/family.

We have a choice in life. We can be passive, look the other way, and believe in a false sense of hope. OR we can wake up, be proactive, get involved and combat those who challenge our future.

Michael Jackson and Tupac used their craft and passion to reveal the truths regarding the people behind the curtain. AFter that, they were murdered. Or were they? 😉

I Second that harry99 for ID channel. I have it set up to record all day lol, crazy put I love the stuff. I have a passion for almost anything intresting that makes me think.....The mind is a beautiful thing never to waste 🙂
