A question about planet placement/natal charts...

I am kind of new to astrology, but I did a natal chart on my friend. His sun is in Leo, but it seems that most of his planets are in Virgo. Venus, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, and his ascendant node (I don't even know what this means).

On his personality, he isn't the fun loving actor-type like all my other Leo friends. Actually, he is really a workaholic. I know that this is hard to judge from afar, but does this mean he is like a Virgo or like a Leo? Should I treat him like a Virgo or a Leo?

You are totally spot on, wow! You know, one time he was talking about a girl that he went on a date with...it was like a laundry list. He had no chemistry with her, but she was well educated and her family was financially well off. "So what do you think?" he would ask me.

Anyway, I always tried to treat him...of course like myself, but also with a Leo tilt of "oh you are so good at x!" "I admire you for y" etc. I sincerely mean it, too. It just seems like he either: 1. thinks I am insincere, 2. really doesn't think highly of himself, or 3. is way too modest to the point of being annoying.

I worry about him and want him to feel better, be his friend, and all these good things. Do you have any suggestions on how I can touch his heart?

Yeah, he loves debates. I think he is really accomplished.

My own chart has a lot of water and air, so I can kind of maintain being interesting and having debates without being *too* emotional haha. Also, I think I am on the outskirts of being a Cancleo.

If you are similar to him, do you like/want to be around someone who is serious or someone who is fun? (I think I am in the latter category, at least outwardly)

I don't know. He is always work work working and never emailing me back. 😢
