A Super Frugal Lion

After I came back from Europe......I got a new car...2012 Chevy Cruze...when I was working on my new car (put on my GPS),
My neighbour was working on his old jeep...very old...it worths nothing for sale. He is a jet engineer...so he can fix almost everything by himself.

I just happened to know that he is a Leo (7/27...the same day as one of my girl friend), and he has been very nice to me...told me that my old car had problems by just hearing such noise from the engine. So I had car-talk with him a few times. Finally, he told me that my old car was not worthy to fix...so I got a new one.

But there is something surprised me about him.......he is super frugal (he is not poor since he has a good job).....that is not a trait for a Leo—

His son (another Leo living with him) had asked him to buy a new TV...he refused. He likes to keep all old stuff, even if they look like trash...

Leo loves luxuries.....right or not— or that astrology traits are not accurate...at all—

Or he is only frugal with himself— He told me his story...he gave everything he had to his wife when he got divorce except his kids.
He has been a good dad to take care of his 4 kids...very nice guy...poor Leo...he must have got real bad hurt from his ex.

Where's his Venus? I guess Virgo, maybe Cancer?

lol...most of the leos i know are jew boyz!! frugality is in the genes. in fact, my mother always told me that you could determine someone's 'wealth' according to the contents of their fridge, LOL...only she could say that...the woman who always opened a heaving fridge when guests arrived unexpectedly and she'd say...i wish i knew you were coming, i've got absolutely nothing to feed you with!!

however, it's not about being tightfisted as such cos for example all the leo men i know drive nice cars. they may not be brand new but they tend to be bmw's, mercs and jags. affordable luxury.

i don't think i know any who overtly flash their cash and yet they all have a great sense of style and expensive taste.

having the latest model of car is much more an aries thing imo cos for them it's ALL about the material display but sadly, the substance is generally lacking. leos live within their means without being bargain hunters.

i guess as far as cars are concerned, if it aint broke, don't fix it!

But he is super frugal...he has only 1982 Jeep with driver's door lock broken...so he has to use a rope to tie the door always. I told him that he should buy a new car as he deserves, but he said NO...as long as his car still running, he won't buy another car.

He told me that he had bought all brand new cars for his 4 kids...what a great dad!!! I wish I have dad like him... 😉

He even told me because he wanted to take good care of his kids, he chose not remarried...even if there were many women like him...lol

He is about my mom's age, but don't know which year he was born...just know his Sun is Leo.

He is frugal with himself only, but he is very generous with his kids...so he is a wonderful dad.

Maybe he needs to save money to support his kids? His kids are all grown-up, but not financially success.
Or it is just his life style ...doesn't matter why he became such frugal...

Just surprised to see a Leo can be that much frugal...not a bad thing tho. 🙂

I had read some story about some wealthy people living very frugal / stingy way......just don't know what they save money for.......they can't bring their money to another world.

Because today he was working for a long time to try to cut the lock out......that made me think & post here.

And I am little jealous of his kids having such great dad...my dad passed away when I was little.

Yes...self-sacrifice...that's what I mean. He sacrifices everything to his kids, but only frugal to himself.
Not mp4 player...he bought 4 brand new cars for his 4 kids, but he has only one very old car with many problems that he has to work on......he seems like my mom being frugal but giving me the best always!

I don't believe astrology very much...I think most parents sacrifice themselves to their children...which is human nature...not only Leos. I have best mom in the world who sacrifices her whole life to me (I am the only child from her 🙂

That proved astrology doesn't apply for everyone. So I don't really believe it. Plus, I don't know much about astrology neither.

I wouldn't say that I fully believe in astrology, but it has worked for me so far.

I'm a Leo born 7/26...I am frugal now with money and things.

Now for the past 3-5 years though I couldn't hold onto my money, I would buy anything and everything and spend money on my friends and family. I always went for luxury and if there was something I didn't have enough to pay for, I'd either secretly get a loan and not tell anyone or save up and be like "oh, I just wanted to wait before getting it". When I came back from being stationed in Japan I told myself that I wanted a Nissan 350z and it was the only car I'd settle for (that I knew I could afford).

Nowadays though, I hold onto money and try and save and pay off both my cars and everything. I am very frugal with my money now, like with clothes, I could care less bout the latest fashion. I'm happy with the Hanes 5 pack of white tees you can get at Walmart, and it's evey better when they come with an extra 2 shirts 🙂

So I guess older Leo males, in my opinion, loves the luxuries and shiny things and everything, but growing older when he has other priorities and have matured a bit, we're more frugal; however, if I'm buying something for my girl or family, I will still go all out and make sure they feel special. It's like the lion in the kingdom, hunting, gets the wild deer and shares it with others and not really stingy to keep it all to himself

You are good lion to take good care of your family...🙂

I guess most people being frugal because of the bad economy...that is smart way to survive.

My OP is based on what I have seen...and what I have thought...nothing contradicts.

If you believe in astrology...then you should know Sags always say something about the truth that often make those

As I said, I never accept Pity...never!!! so I only share my good experience with others. I believe everyone has some kind of problem to deal with.......I don't want / need to bother others with mine.
