I try to cry to when I know I need to, but it just doesn't work, on the very rare occassion that I have managed it felt very cleansing. I wish I was a natural crier.
What did you need to cry for BGP?
well i know i'm a water sign but i LOVE a good cry!!! i cry at the drop of a hat. a news item. a touching scene. even TV commercials. i dunno what it is really cos when i was younger i was completely stoic...probably cos i didn't give a fuck about much. these days i can have a momentary sob on a daily basis all about different random stuff, lol!!
if something has really hurt me i know i NEED to cry it out. you know sometimes, i indulge it soooo much that the crying actually becomes laughter cos i see how ridiculous i am, lol. for me though, it helps me get over stuff...it's like physically emptying my heart.
in between the crying i am however, an extremely happy smiley person and not a misery guts at all.
BGP: when a loved one has cancer it's a very emotional time and it's right for you to feel it the way you do. this may sound warped but i think the disease has some very positive benefits not only to the life of the person fighting it but to those around them. it makes people re-evaluate connections with others and consider how transient life is. that's something we all kinda 'know' but you don't fully understand until you go through something like this and that is the gift you MUST take from it.
Sometimes I can't cry either BGP.. it's like being masked when I can't; insulting myself through obvious rejection of emotional distress.
So yes.. give me some cucumbers from the fridge for my eyes. I am NOT a pretty crier.
Proud of you, gorgeous 🙂

Aw, a lot of built up emotions....
Accepting a loss. A friend's hard cancer battle. Very difficult work strife. The coming of autumn (upcoming anniversary of sorts)....just a release of pent up accumulated pain.
I use to be able to cry so easily. Don't know why it's gotten harder, I'm very in touch with emotions and feelings. One interesting note: I meditate daily and cry easily whilst doing a spiritual visualization technique taught by Eckart Tolle. Perhaps the opening of the tears then is due to the direct correlation to my subconscious.
Seraph, thanks for asking....feeling better. 🙂
Thank you all 🙂
You're so tender and sweet. I appreciate your love. For a moment, I forgot I was on DXP 😛

I cried like there was no tomorrow yesterday. Had been *trying* to cry for a week but no luck. Woke up to some sad thoughts about a friend with cancer who I was going to visit. It all exploded. All day long. Everything made me weep. A kind word, a hug, a memory. I was worn out by end of day.
It felt good. Do you all do the same?
