LEOs

Would you say that creating DRAMA is not the same as being DRAMATIC?

I ask because too often, I see LEOs being pegged as DRAMA Queens-- which is a pejorative, as far as I can see.

I equate the term with being a troublemaker, of sorts: stepping on people solely for the entertainment value, and/or the attention it brings--

Good OR bad.

β€”

DRAMATIC-- sure.

I think we can be. πŸ™‚

But creating DRAMA for the sake of DRAMA?

I don't think so. πŸ˜›

What do you think?

** If you aren't a LEO, please tell us your sun/moon-- thanks.

I'm only dramatic when I am knowingly being so. For example, when telling a story. I am so laid back and grounded (my Virgo and Taurus placements I suppose). I don't even talk loud.

I dress dramatic as in loud or colorful. Today I have on a pink scarf, with some gold hoop earrings and some leopard nerd glasses. I think I am a fashonista but I probably look like a damn fool. LOL

i guess, as leo, when i don't get the attention i want from specific people, i tend to do things to stir things up a bit. but not intentionally, it is just how i am. i think it's the leo's inate insecurity that is the root of this. πŸ™‚

but drama helps break the monotony of life, yes? πŸ™‚)

Idk, Claaarez-- what is your definition of "stir things up"?

This guy, Jim Harbaugh-- SO DRAMATIC. πŸ˜„

He is not a LEO sun-- but he does have a LEO Ascendant-- which isn't exactly the same.

Leo Ascendant

They are given to rash decisions, temper tantrums, and excesses.

However, they have plenty of staying power, drive, and their idealism keeps them from getting into too much trouble.

The desire to oversee the goings-on in their circle can sometimes amount to bossiness.

If this desire doesn't go too far, however, it can just mean a person who wants to make sure the people they love are all right.

Many Leo rising people are managers, either by profession or character.

The tendency to overestimate things, and themselves, is generally present.

This is due to a natural enthusiasm and optimism about any new undertaking....

Leo rising people are generally demonstrative, and given to grand gestures.

Drama comes naturally to these natives.

In fact, some are so caught up in fiction, they're a little blind to fact.

They have an unusual need to be admired....

Leo rising people are kids at heart.

They are fun-loving and warm; generous and spirited.

I equate drama (at a fundamental level) with indecision, lack of strength, lack of; will, conviction, integrity. To me it screams whiney and needy and emotional ineptitude. Dramatics on the other hand, great fun. I love to be dramatic while treating someone I love to something special. Such as, hosting a fantastic meal for a friend, taking care with every detail and making the person feel like they're the most important person in the world to me at that moment. Lights! Camera! Action! Queue: Energetic theme song! Or...saying something so sugary romantic it sounds like it's a direct quote from a movie (and meaning it). Dramatic.

I'm like this too...I have to catch myself.
It's kind of like a kid that acts out badly bc they know they will get attention for it. That's probably how we developed a rep as drama queens.

I don't think this board is very quiet. But we don't like to eat our own.

So...AGREE πŸ˜„

True-- most of the time, we don't. πŸ™‚

I don't think most LEOs are like that, though.

Leo Moon, maybe-- but not Sun.

I think the key word here is "intent." Certainly some Leo's do, I'm sure my cancer brother would say I do. But I don't realize I do or intend to do it on purpose. I think it's just because we aren't afraid to stick our neck out there to get what we want. I had a friend of mine say to me, "you walked in the room and you demanded attention" which I was kind of hurt by that comment since I did no such thing. I merely entered the room with confidence, silently, looking around. Now imagine if I had actually wanted the entire room to look my way lol. It's made me more aware though of how different perceptions are ...and to be more careful. We Lions are fierce, mere mortals have difficulty coping with our presence sometimes. πŸ˜‰

Leo's don't demand attention, we command it. To those on the outside, it may seem as we are doing it to bring attention to ourselves... But when you live life everyday with purpose and you carry yourself that exudes confidence , and in a way that other might admire..well... We might just attract attention, but we don't demand it. Did that make sense?

I think yes we can be dramatic, especially if it's something that held some importance to us in the past, present, or could affect us in the future. But I don't think we create drama. Now if you bring drama to our door step and provoke us even in our attempts to tell you to stop, then yes we will match fire with fire. The claws are coming out and mufasa will go on pride rock and do a roar that Katy perry sings about

But other then that, I find that most Leo's are very laid back and you have to poke me with a stick to move or react to anything

Leo SUNS that is, Leo moons are just a whole different animal. Rogue

Rogue-- more like pogue lol

But yes, agreed. πŸ™‚
