......that highly illegal thing with the leo. i got out of it blemish-free and with no risk to my professional reputation. it took two very stressful difficult months of battling with him as he tried every tactic to prevent me from shutting him down...even threats against me....but i was resolute. i knew i had him by the goolies and i stood firm until he surrendered to that grip.

it was interesting that his initial reaction when he realised what i was doing was aggression....after 20+ years of friendship! next thing he'd be almost sobbing down the phone asking why i was destroying our friendship. he tried everything.

i don't feel remotely smug or victorious about it at all. just glad it's over. i always thought he was super bright but he must've thought i was super dim. i've just saved myself from 14 years in prison in the name of 'friendship'.

yeah but it's cool to live on the edge...i can't help myself 😛

What happened to the Leo?

^^we no longer talk. the last stages of negotiations were through lawyers. the leo's back in action as far as i'm aware but it's no longer my business.

what on earth....for a Leo to fight like that, I have to wonder what you did. He obviously feels greatly wronged and also deeply hurt by the loss of friendship.

yes i 'wronged' him by refusing to put my name to money laundering activities. i doubt he is deeply hurt...more like slightly inconvenienced. he's a sociopath and so there is absolutely no emotional involvement in anything he does.
