lol...the youngest guy i went out with was more than 20 years younger. it was absolutely hopeless. he had his jeans hanging around his pelvis somewhere with his boxers on display like young guys do, which looks absurd imo. i actually laughed out loud at how ridiculous we must have looked. we didn't pursue it but we're still friends now. i'm like his agony auntie, lol. bless.

some younger guys are genuinely more mature than others...yeah, guys can be 'mature' too....but there are others who like the idea of an older, sexy woman who has her own job, car and home who will take care of them...como un gigolo.

don't get me wrong. young flesh has merits and as you say, their energy levels are well matched for older women who are in their prime years...but generally it is what it is. i don't know of many age gap relationships where the woman is older that have worked out.

i only really felt this way after dating a few younger guys...got as far as age 32 and then decided that i enjoy company of guys closer to my own age even more.

yeah, this cougar/milfy business is all about the sex, from both sides. it's always flattering when a young guy thinks you're hot but after a while, it gets a little tedious (which sounds shockingly bigheaded but....oh well). cos they actually think you're gagging for it most of the time and obviously cos they're young they think that's enough to make them hot and all they have to do is flatter you a little and you'll jump their bones and leave them for dead.

but personally, i base a man's attractiveness not just on looks and abs and schlong size but on his personality, mind and sense of humour and how it all works together as a package. i just don't make instant eye contact with a man and find myself overcome with lust and more often than not, the only point in a younger guy is as eye candy cos they don't match our maturity level.

LOL, I was asked out on a date at the weekend by a man 14 years younger than me. I know I look younger than my age and usually no-body can ever guess it - well he's pursuing hotly now 🙂 . He knows the Aries so I won't be going there - never make a ram jealous lions - but what a great ego boost just when I needed it most.

It's up you only! Follow your heart...what do you really want—

If you just want to try a new game of casual-sex experience, then go for it; otherwise, Don't do it at all...this is the easy way to protect yourself from any unexpected hurting (emotionally).

I think you are smart enough to know what you want... 😉

I do Luckystar - no casual sex for me, it was a great ego boost though, especially when I told him my age, he thought I was the same age as him - smirk!

IJS...I'm sure we'd find LOTS you enjoy..and it would be in common. You'd have to get in line though. There's this green eyed, tattooed ari-taur round these parts that i'd seriously PLOW into some satin pillows. But yeah, lion...you'd be on a throne here.

Back on topic: single? Enjoy yourself. So many women get stigmatized for being rational and normal in matters of sex.

when are you taking that holiday to ireland 😉

Yikes... This question just made me
feel like I got kicked in the gut!! (sigh)

From my experience, I would say do
not base your decision on the age
difference, just the individual.

When I had a similar deal
(he was 8 years younger), I chose
not to go out with him for the first
4 months. After getting to know him
well during that time, I finally did.

To my amazement, he was who made
me know what true love really is. I
thought I had been in love before,
but nope, clearly I had never been.

We ended up engaged. Never were
married because I pushed him away.
(Now I know that was due to my
fear- but it took a long time for me
to understand it all)

Anyway- Lioness, my point is that age
became a non factor for us. With the
right person it does not matter.
I feel so fortunate that I decided
to ignore his age and give it a shot!

If there was "true love" btw you two.....no matter what happened, he should / would never give up on you.....

Don't want to make you feel bad... just speak for the truth!

@Lucky- No offense or you causing me to feel bad, but thank you!
I like to hear thoughts regarding what others' truths are-can
only be mind opening whether I end up agreeing or disagreeing.

He did not give up for a long time. My behavior
was very different. Finally he just was not able to commit to
spending the rest of his life with someone behaving so
differently than I had ever behaved previously. Even my
mannerisms had changed. It was a rough time!

Heck, I would have run away from myself
then if I could have. 🙂

He really tried...He tried to talk to me, but I
couldn't see clearly, I was not ready to hear him then.

We've talked many times since, and I do not doubt his love
for me, nor mine for him. Only in fairy tales does anyone
wait patiently for all of eternity for the person he fell for to
show back up. Especially when its a prior to marriage situation
I am speaking about.

In reality. I was not behaving like the person
he loved. I had to sort out some rough stuff within
myself to remember who I was, and make some sense
of all of it.

Sorry, I didn't know your whole story...
At least, you have had "true love" once, which is not "available" for everyone, so you were very lucky... 😉
I am jealous of you 😉.....wish I would have that luck someday... 🙂

i can't stand the term 'cougar'. makes me sound like i'm out there kerb crawling for young flesh. i can't help it if they throw themselves at me but to be honest, it gets a little dull after a while, lol....i mean there's only so much ego feeding a girl can take. especially when she's not stupid enough to think that you actually want more than a fuck from her...and honestly...we're experienced ladies...it takes alot to impress, no matter how generous your mutton is. get ma drift? LOL 😛

with generous mutton ... if you get ma drift ...

and how do you intend to serve it---the generous mutton--i mean ?

OOH! Caught one!

Well, i would serve it one slither at a time. With a 15 minute break in-between each one. It would be succulent and juicy, and satisfy you for only 2-3 minutes at a time. Unfortunately this baby lamb is currently a 3-pump-chump. But working on it.

Ha ha, sorry little lamb you'll have to stick with Mary until you become a Ram and overcome the 3 pump action, though the rest sounds pretty nice 🙂 Keep on working.

I know the topic has evolved to something else now, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents because I'm feeling miffed by a few of the comments. My husband is 12 years younger than I am. Our relationship is not about a cougar and a cub, and it's not about sex and ego. It's about a husband and a wife, and two people making a life together. Although we have our issues, like any couple, he's shown far greater maturity than anyone else with whom I have had a relationship (all were all my age or older).

Sorry whimsy didn't mean to make it sound like I think age gap relationships are wrong, in fact my friend, a fellow leo, is married to a guy who is 14 years younger than her and he is incredibly mature and they are incredibly happy, in fact he is one of the most mature people I know 🙂 And bar one guy all of the men I know of my age can only be considered immature.

The cougar reference was a joke too - not referring to older women, I was really referring about to the "cat" community rather than the "meant to be insulting" term that some fat middle aged jealous man coined to refer to a successful, beautiful woman who preferred a younger man to him (that's my take on where the phrase came from anyway 🙂)
