Feelings

I know this is going to sound like an odd question, but do Libras have feelings?

OK, of course they do but it seems like they either suppress them almost all the time or they only show them superficially or when they are excited.

We all know that Libras like attention, compliments and to be flattered but does it affect them emotionally or more mentally?

Yes we have feelings. Most of us are insecure though so we hide them. Part of the reason we like attention so much is because it helps fight our insecurity.

I have been told many times that I do not express happiness or anger well. Unless I get VERY upset my voice tone remains fairly constant. I generally am a happy person so people always see me smiling... even if I am upset. Here is a quote from one of my favorite Libra descriptions to date, the entirety can be found here:

Even when the Libran is angry, some?_how he or she will manage to look mild, or at the very least, neutral. Venus voices are typically sweet and clear as a bell, and these people seldom raise them to a shrill or bellowing pitch. A Libran is the only person on earth who can say, "I hate you and I'm going to punch you in the nose," and sound as if he's reciting Browning's "How Do I Love Thee?"

So is it one of those things where Libras speak only from their head and not from their heart? For instance, if they love you, they love you because they have mentally went over all the ideas of what they want/need and come to the conclusion that this person meets all or most of the criteria. Therefore they can now "love" them. I'm talking about both sexes.

I only hesitate because there are two very distinct types of Libra, mature and immature. The difference between these two is drastic. Many of the behaviors will be the same but the reasons vary wildly. I consider myself a mature Libra and when I speak about us I am talking from that standpoint.

I don't say things lightly. A statement of love would only come after head and heart have agreed. Which many here will tell you can take forever for a Libra to decide. It's not as cold as you make it sound though. It's not that we find someone acceptable and decide it is okay to love them... if anything we get swept off our feet at the same time we sweep you away, then we get scared and try to decide if we should ground ourselves or fly with you.

Hmmm. I guess the first thing to do is to deduce if the particular Libra is mature or not. I like your last sentence. I bet those decisions can change each day/week. Sometimes you decide to fly and other times to ground yourself and step back. I seem to experience this a lot.

I have feelings but i do not listen to them. All my decision are made based on logic. In my opinion feelings get in the way and cause the inability to make rational decisions. every so often my feelings do get the better of me, but when I really sit down and think about something i follow my head instead of my heart everytime.

It has caused me a lot of heart ache in the past but deep down I know it is the right decision.

YUP! I know what you mean. When Libras go silent for a day it feels to me like, OK they don't really need me in their life. They either have many other friends or options than me OR I don't make them happy enough to want to chat with. It feels to me that the Libra is thinking in their head, "Do I want to be in this relationship?" lol

If we could control who we loved, life would be much easier and we'd be the only humans on the planet that could. I don't believe anyone controls who they love.

I do, however, believe a libra will go much, much further to try to fall in love with someone that they just aren't feeling it for. If we really, really, really like you but it just isn't happening, we will sit there for a very long time trying to make it work before walking away.

I have no problem expressing my feelings!!! If I'm not willing to express my feelings and emotions, it's probably because I'm hurt or was rejecting when I initially tried to express them.
