all the libra girls i know (myself included) seem to be hopelessly attracted to the traditionally masculine image of men.
i cannot stand feminine men who are afraid to get their clothes dirty or hands dirty, men who obsess over small details in life, cowardly men who can't face up to problems like a real man ect ect.... basically men who act like little girls lol i don't find them attravtive one bit.

any other libra girls feel this way?? do we love masculine men??

I daresay MOST women like masculine men a lot better than the "sissified" ones. The women who actually WANT a namby-pamby girly-man? Ball-breakers, usually -- and want a man to control like a puppet. (Seen THAT happena few times!)

But yeah, thinking about the Libra girls I've known.. they are quite feminine.. some can be tomboyish, but deep down, they're definitely women.. so they'd want a masculine MAN to complement her femininity.

I'm a cappy and I'm only attracted to manly men. Then again, I'm a country gal. If they don't know how to build a fence, skin a deer, run a trot line, etc. I'm out! lol!

I think it's nature's law of natural selection. A survival instinct passed down from the cavemen days. We are and should be attracted to those that can provide for us and protect us. Of course, now the definition of what it takes to be a provider and protector has changed (money instead of strength).

How 'bout a man who was raised in a city that just happens to be in the south. He doesn't hunt but fishes, can work on a car, has a college degree in, fixes things around the house, mows his own yard, and is going to law school. Did I forget to mention he cooks? Any takers lol

Uh oh...the best of both worlds huh? Smart and handy!!? The ladies of libraland might all jump you at once! 😉

I don't know how to build a fence nor am I very handy around the house, I don't know shit about cars and I sure as hell don't know how to skin a deer (I don't think I've ever even seen one IRL)....

Would you be content with just an average guy with a big dick attitude?

No! Lol....You need to go out and get yourself some man skills.

No woman is gonna brag about her man's big dick attitude. Lol.

What is that anyway—

I'm an excellent cook, or so I've been told.... Oh wait, that's a woman's choir.

Yeah I've got nothing.

(Big dick attitude = basically Ryan Gosling. Because no matter what he brings or doesen't bring to the table makes no difference because he's still Ryan friggin Gosling! lol )

You can fix things, willing to help around the house and can provide food from natural resources - well, where I come from that's considered a keeper! 🙂

No thanks! Why would I want to take interest in something that doesen't interest me one bit? So that I can satisfy some Libra's banal definition of a 'manlyness'?

Any idiot can learn about auto mechanics or home improvement. There are however qualities that cannot be learned and that certain type of men possess.... qualities that don't include hammers and screwdrivers.

Just saying.. 😉 You can tell my chart is wet, can't you? lol

No offense Beautiful, but you just sound way too good to be true. Why in the world are you single? All of your posts as of late make you sound like some kind of renaissance man. What, have you been hiding in a cave or something? So far I haven't found any flaws.

Lol, no I haven't been hiding in a cave. You hit the nail on the head, women think I'm too good to be true. Simply put, the game changer...not that I play them lol.

I dont think I've ever met a truly femenine Libra woman, in fact they are pretty popular for being quite masculine, their facial bone structure reveals that usually too. Their ways are too cerebral too to be considered feminine in the manner Taurus ladies are for instance (also Venus ruled)

Would you mind elaborating a little on what you perceive to be masculine energy coming from Libra women or even women in general for that matter? I have always been more attracted to manly men. And I have always thought it was because of the masculine energy I have. Even though I am a girly girl, it's still there. I am just curious as to how men see it coming through. Can you give any examples?

Libra women have the male mentality. You think like a man but your outward appearance is feminine. Like men, you're searching for your equal. This throws manly men off because they are used to having most if not all the control and doing things their way. Libras look for partnership. Whereas, the man is the President and you're the Chairman of the Board. Since most men don't really complain about their partners openly, you see a guy that complains as whining and being less than a man.

Just my opinion, a true man is "balanced."

Oh come on, the specific skills have nothing to do with it. Sure they probably make you feel more attracted to him a bit, but i doubt you guys are looking for a handyman lol. What you guys really want is a guy with a strong personality. a guy who is brave, tough, a leader, confident, and is a good protector. Dont start telling men about the handiwork and stuff because these guys are gonna try to learn those skills just to get in your pants lol. I feel sorry for the men who invest all their time and money into that stuff without getting the intended payoff

Lol on the tools. But what you said is the basic truth. The depth that women are looking for. All that brawn, that's just the surface. I am curious, how many of you Libra ladies cut your own grass if you have a yard?

I come from an old school neighborhood where we cut our own grass and that of our elders...especially widows. It's the neighborhood I grew up in. I think those old scholol values are lost on the young men of today. I'm not old but these young guys...geesh. I remember years ago that I'd see kids pushing mowers up and down the street during the Spring and Summer. Now, you rarely see it! Damn guys we gotta step up...

I have cut the grass in the past, but I pay someone to do it now. Love doing the rest of the gardening and I do cut my hedge with a hedge trimmer. Change light bulbs, can change a top washer, put together flat pack furniture, hang pictures, re-grout tiles, fit curtain rails to the walls (using a drill and screws), decorate inside and out with paint, hang wallpaper, lay vinyl tiles on my kitchen floor, set up wifi and router at home (I'm not in IT - just read the manual), check oil and water in the car, did change a tyre once.... phew, I've surprised myself there.

All stuff I've done in the past. Now I'm older and earning more I am more likely to pay a tradesman to come in and do it but these are good skills to develop.

I like a man who can cook, iron and vacuum. But he must look manly while doing it. LOL.

Actually that goes both ways. I'm talking about the 'old school values' of young women! Some of the ones we got today don't even know how to boil an egg, yet alone put their dirty laundry in the basket. They are spoiled and expect praise and admiration simply for being women!

So really, what do they got on me? I make my own dinner, I wash my own clothes, I keep a clean and tidy home (and I'm not even a Virgo) and I mow my own lawn... figurally speaking since I don't have a lawn. lol

So the day you can put eatable food on my table is the day I will mow your lawn. I guess what I'm really looking for is a woman 30+ 😉

And really ladies, you're all so lazy! Paying someone else to do it just because you can is not always the answer. Sometimes you gotta make an effort to appreciate what you got.

I don't really understand what you're saying, but I'm quite a lot older than you. When you've spend 30 years running your own home, mowing the lawn and all the other stuff I mentioned, it's quite nice to have a rest and get someone else to do it for a change. The old guy down the road who mows my lawn appreciates the extra cash on top of his pension, and I get more free time to do what I love like going for long walks and taking photos. I can promise you, I really appreciate all that free time!!

I understand LibraRose's response in that she chooses to employ someone else to perform certain tasks. It in no way reflects that she doesn't know how to do, it's what she chooses to do. Nothing wrong with that at all. You have some people who are blessed enough to be able to afford certain luxuries and some are not. For her it gives her the freedom to do other things that are more important for her and for myself it's therapeutic. Where she's employing people in a sense, I take that money to do other things.

I certainly don't see it as being lazy, maybe for some but in this case I don't think so. Ultimately, I believe it's just a matter of people's preferences, of which they have that right.

Not trying to read into things, but the title if the thread suggests a conundrum. You're attracted to the masculine type but keep having problems or you need something more than that. Perhaps you should consider dating another type. I know I know..."that's settling." Is it really? Most men date a certain type for a great deal of time but end up marrying someone completely different. Why should it be different for women? They realize that those women they date are never really gonna give them what it is they know they need internally. But ego and pride keep em at it until reality smacks em dead in the face lol. Just my humble opinion
