What do you believe? In this world, and perhaps the next? What does anyone believe? What ideals, What faith, What dreams do they grip to Which lead them along a never faulting path towards Their destiny, Their doom, Their salvation, Their fate. Or do they even believe in fate? Do they believe that they choose where it is they step, Or is it chosen for them? Or are they being pushed by some invisible hand, By the fickle fingers of fate? Or perhaps not so fickle after all.
These fickle fingers give us life, And they give us death, And they give us the journey between; And perhaps the journey after? Will one ever truly rest? Does one truly ever wish to? To rest and forsake the road ahead, Onward into the future? To leave to molder those future hopes, Those ties which may make, Or break our hearts? Is there truly and end to the road Which we were put to walking? Does one truly wish to find it?
What do you believe? In this world, and perhaps the next? I believe in an endless journey, Not on one path, But all. I believe in a flowing stream Which empties into it?s beginning. I believe that love and hate lie side by side, One and the same, And that what guides us is an emotion Deeper still. I believe that our fates rest Upon our power to have faith, Our destinies on The power of our hearts to hope, Even when there seems to be Nothing left to hope for. I believe that there is always something left, And our hearts depend on the power Which we find to wish for it, To find it, And to keep it always. I believe in an endless journey. In a traveler?s song which never dies And which can be heard in the sunset As it fades into dawn. I believe that our conclusions shall be our genesis, And we will find both as we follow that path Which our souls urge us to, Forever into the future. I believe in life. What do you believe?
I believe that some have a destiny to fulfill...maybe we all do...mine is to help my daughter be the best she can be! I know my daughter does have an important destiny to fulfill and there are strangers who meet her who also know that she is an important key to the future of our children...helping them survive in this harsh world...guiding them and being a guardian to them...
The thing is...even though one may see their destiny very clearly, God gives us the freedom of will and of choice. We can choose not to fulfill our destiny. It is sad when this is the path chosen and I do believe that Karma keeps track...but, it is a gift to have the choice, and to KNOW we have a choice.
I find real beauty in the knowledge that there are those who see their destiny clearly and choose to rise to the occasion! What courage! What inspiration it instills within me!
She is starting out on her journey, and that is why there is all the searching. I think she is great and has some wonderful questions. If you get tired, then dont read them.
I'm sorry if I both you Star, but I always thought that questions were more important than answers. And I'm not really searching because I'm unsure, I'm just curious to see what everyone else thinks. (This poem wasn't about searching for your destiny anyway, it was about rising up to meet the occation, what ever it might be)
There is NO such thing as a stupid question, and we should never stop searching for answers and questioning everything, especially the status quo! This is how things get done in this world.
Morgan, we need people like you. Ask away. I am not sure I can answer any of it, but I will try, and it gives me something to think about. I love your questions.
i make my own destiny. i make my own person. i make my own decisions. some ppl get along and some ppl dont, and if you cant then who cares. I think that most ppl do have admirable traits but ppl only see it when they 'like' the person because they're 'nice' and 'friendly'. And HAHAHA ofocurse we're nothing. We die in the end anyway, its so easy for us to die. And we dont know anything because we cant prove anything, we can only wonder. And blah blah, all that other idealism s**t.
Did you ever notice how some of the strangest combinations of food are supposed to be aphrodisiacs? Like sausages and oysters. And really, what's the deal? Why are they supposed to work? Probably because they may resemble certain important ingrediants in
Hi. I spent the weekend with my sagitarrius friend and we got along very good, I could easily be myself around him and we enjoyed each other;s company...the thing is when I was leaving to go home he mad a comment like "You are cool as h*ll!" I didn't say
I am a Libra and have a Sag. male who tells me that he loves me. However, he broke up with me because he doesn't know how to handle some of the stresses that he is going through at work. So my question is; do Sag's break up and come back to a person tha
Just checken in sayen High, I am a typical Sag male cept, I am kinda old fashioned romantic, its like I heard a comedian say, Getting in a relationship For sex, is like buying a jumbo jet for the peanuts.
my sagittarius cannot stop bothering me about things such as i always have to be around him and i cannot talk to anyone else. He gets hurt if i talk to someone else at the moment more than i do with him. He gets hurt by his own thoughts. Him thinking i'm
