twin flame ??' the "ultimate relationship" is with this person. this person is the other half of your soul. Opposite sex. But not likely to meet in this lifetime. When twin flames come together, it's profound, passionate, karmic, all that stuff.
soul mate ??' someone who you share similar life experiences with on the soul level i guess... can be any kind of relationship. You have many soul mates in your life time.

Can't explain it any better right now, I'm tired. But: (there are whole origin stories and everything.)

This is an interesting read that might help you better understand the twin flame concept:

http://twinflamereflections.com/2013/11/16/the-twin-flame-or-twin-soul-connection/

Thank you for posting this but one question, it says that Twin Flames and Twin soul connections were forged in other "lifetimes" but I thought Tfs only came together in their last lifetime on earth (excluding their first lifetime together).

Also I heard that TF connections never last and that they are only meant to be temporary...so I'm truly confused.

So here's the lowdown (DISCLAIMER: This is based on the assumption that the theory is true even though it might be a bunch of mallarky!!!!):
It's extremely rare to meet your TF in your lifetime BUT if you do, it means you are spiritually ready for it. Now, the general consessus is that a TF connection is MUCH more difficult and trying than that with a SoulMate. The theory also says that we have many SoulMates on earth but only one TF for all eternity.

TF's are meant to bond on a soul level, but since each person brings with them "emotional baggage" from this lifetime as well as others, the bond is tested and tried by both parties in different ways. TF'S are meant to teach eachother spiritual lessons of life and love (including self-love). Most of the time it is too difficult to learn together because TF's mirror eachothers' flaws. (Most of the time one person becomes the "chaser" and the other becomes the "runner".) Thus, most must separate until they are spiritually ready to reunite.

The sooner they are able to learn the lessons, the quicker they will unite, but if they don't "get it right" they have the joy of coming back on this hell-hole called earth and trying again until all the lessons are learned. WHEN AND ONLY WHEN BOTH partners learn all their lessons will they unite for eternity and join God such that the life cycle stops.

This is the TF concept as I know and understand it. Again I point back up to my disclaimer above.

Best explanation I've seen, thank you 🙂
