I love James Clavell but I haven't gotten to King Rat or Gai Jin yet though i own them. I've heard of Ann Rand and that's she is great but I can't remember what she writes about. I've never heard of Enid Blyton (sounds like a pen name🙂 so you got to tell me. I tried reading Huck Finn but couldn't get into it either though it wasn't as bad- I don't think Mark Twain cares for me.

I read a lot of Anne Rice books. Right now I'm trying to read Memnoch The Devil (by miss anne), but I keep reading this other book I'm almost finished with, by Dr. Robin Cook, who writes freaky ass medical mysteries with lots of death and scariness. It's called VECTOR, and basically it's about anthrax being attained by a Russian guy and some skinheads who plan to release it all over New York. It was written in '99, suprisingly. But anyway...when I was a kid one of my favorite books was "Bridge To Therabithia" or however you spell it, and also "The Great Gilly Hopkins". I read those over and over. I really loved the book "Jane Eyre" too, but I didn't read that until I was like 16 or something.

I read Jane Eyre when I was twelve or so, but I thought it was really sick that an 18 year old would fall in love with a 45 year old... That turned me of from the start.

My favoritist book of all time I think would have to be "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley... I loved the King Arthur story from the eyes of all the ladies of the house, and I absolutely loved Morgaine (Morgan le Fey)... I absolutely hate traditional King Arthur stories where they always downplay women and make out strong females to be weak... And I think the only time that Gwenivere was good was when she finally started cheating on Arthur, and it was about time too... (Early British history is kind of a hobby of mine, and the time period of the Christianization of the Celts kind of annoys me when I see what it did to the status of women)...
