Damn Holidays

So.... Everybody finish their shopping?

almost.....god what a mob at the mall. im keeping it simple, a couple of close people get actual gifts, the rest get gift certificates.lol

Bad part of being a couple: number of family members to buy gifts for doubles

Good part: go halfs on the gifts and say "from both of us"

i keep buying myself things.lol

I keep wanting to but my budget holds me back.

I hate the holidays though, they always make me depressed.

For me holidays means:
Trying the untried recipes. Not O.J's ofcourse,(LOL)
clowining around with kids.
Romancing left, right and centre.
Possibly travelling.

send checks to kids out of country not easy have to have bank accounts in euro, pounds, and dollars. give cash to kids in country.

thnax O.J. my kids are minor and living with me. So it is some measly pocket money in cash. Always! 🙂

I'm spending boxing day with my brother, his wife and their daughter, my gorgeous niece can't wait!

My parents are getting divorced over christmas. I'm not going home, my dad's moved out. This is the first christmas that I don't have a family to share it with... Well actually I'm sharing it with a family, it's just that my original family has fallen apart and this is the first christmas I won't see my father mother and brother at the same table, if at all.

It's depressing.

I'm so sorry that your christmas will not feel the same for you this year. And I am sorry to hear about your parents, thats a difficult thing to adjust to. My parents almost spit up when I was 19, and it crushed me. They have been together now for fifty years. Most likely your brother is feeling the change as well. Maybe contacting him would help as you could be support for each other.

I wish you did not have to go through this at all, but especially at christmas. My thoughts are with you, and if you just want to talk or anything I am here ok. I know we dont know each other well, but still I want to extend my hand to you if you find yourself in need.

I have been going through some difficult times with my mohter lately, and everyone here has been so great listening and supporting me. Please dont feel alone because you are not, ok.
