I dont see how it should affect how you live either, but i agree with you Freebird, it IS a part of life but that doesn't mean i seriously want to go by it. For me, i'm not really scared but puzzled that we live to die and in death we find what life means and its over. You dont even know you were once alive, breathing, you dont even know you are dead, just nothing more.

I guess the reason why i'm bringing this up is because of this guy i met at work. He believes in The Matrix...right. He says he's been sensing things when he was around 15 and was 'blown away' when he watched the movie. And he's not alone, because he knows people who have thought the same thing, but so friggin what? He tells me that they found artifacts and such that dont belong in this world..... and trying to get by this wall that's blocking the entrance to the other world. He tells me that he senses something different about me. How i'm going to bring a change, how i'm one of 'the ones' oh yeah right, next time i start pulling a neo stunt just shoot me.

But it does arouse my curiosity, to analyze this situation and see if it's false or not. He says i'm not 'ready' to know everything yet, that it's 'not my time'. But i think he's just bull butterting me. Why? Because he makes comments that i'm hot, that i should leave my boyfriend because he can foretell the future. That my boyfriend and i are not going to work out, etc etc. He reads palms and tells me that i'm this and that about my personality, but when it comes down to this, he just knows about human nature. Anyone can say, "Yes you are rebellious" anyone can say "Whatever you want, you always have to get it." "You live in your own reality, you've created your own world." Because WHO ISNT? and who doesnt.

An interesting topic, death. All those millions of people, all those hundreds of years past and nobody seems none the wiser. But the promise of afterlife is a powerful governing tool; if you behave yourself in this life as a humble and respectful citizen, you?ll be rewarded by a wonderful life ever after. This promise is prominent in the new Islam; if you sacrifice your life while killing the enemy (whoever he may be) you go to heaven and get to play with a bunch of virgins!
Does that come close to your idea of an afterlife?

If there really is no existance of God, 'he' would be necessary nonetheless, especially when it relates to Heaven and Hell. If the bible said nothing about Heaven vs. Hell, do you really think half the people would still believe? Hm, who really knows.

But what i mean by afterlife, not necessarily heaven, but i always thought that if we're provided with life right now then cant there be life in another? but maybe i'm just being overly optimistic again.

Yeah u r right Luz,"You live in your own reality, you've created your own world." Because WHO ISNT? and who doesnt.

It seems to me that those who know to read others palm and predict your future trying to read the psychology side of u and getting hold of u, especially those who r your close friends... Sometimes we gotta be careful to whom our fate been let known... dont let others with bad intention spoil your fate... But Luz, i dont know your friend, it's good that u trust your instinct.
Hmmm.. weird, the problem is sometime whether we must choose to believe such weird thing other people tell us or not to believe it. Some of the thing really unexplainable.
Just like you know...? 'Final Destination'... if one day a stranger goes to u and tells u that u gotta avoid for example your lover today cos he will cause your death at certain time in your life.Would u gonna believe the stranger to avoid your lover? The 1st thought we probably have is insane who say i gonna die today? That man must be from mental hospital! Besides, bring little feeling of insecure. If it's really not a truth than u scare your entire life for nothing. If it's true...? It's a waste for not following the advice! So, what will u do?
Spend time and money for another medium?? Are they believable or for the sake of money?? So, what will u do?

Luz, I am wondering, too. Am not sure what to call the Creator of everything, but think that any religion that claims to know what He/She/It had in mind when he made us and the rest of the universe, ought to close shop. What I?m trying to say; first we?ve got to throw away a lot of historical superstitious garbage. THEN we can start seeking honest answers about the real purpose of life. If the creation of the universe was an accident, then we must admit there was no Creator but then the burden of justifying this opportunity is homo sapiens? as the dominant species.
Please comment on my musings...

Death,i see it as something like u go to others country on vacation.. lets say Japan and at 1st u anticipate of the new happening at the new surrounding and then u start dont like being there cos of couldnt adapting and find nothing exciting about it but then the right moment comes and u r having a wonderful time...After that is time to leave the country, go back home. U find that u r not ready to go cos u have not enough, u miss the every moments in japan. After goin home for several days, u find everything gets right back again... U miss home... When u miss Japan again u'll think of goin back there some other time to have a look again or appear in our dream we go back there. So, life is something just like this.. like goin for vacation.....
Just like the webcycle, everything goes in circle/intereact with each others or else put it to an ending life'ld be meaningless.

I do believe that there's another world exist for us where we go after death. There's another world... in different dimension that we never know exist still it opens its door to us when the right moment come...
Hahaha! these r my thought... what about yours?
U might find it funny.. lol!

Turtle, you may have something here, when i set aside all the events that has happened and just pay attention to the beginning of time, it may be us being monkeys orwhatever the hell happened(who really knows) but i dont know how this will apply to finding out what this guys deal is with The Matrix..it doesnt fit anywhere near the beginning because he's saying humans became basically 'cyborgs'(that's the only word i can put it to.) when there were natural disasters in this world and majority of man kind died, but the creator of The Matrix made the remainders into 'robots' and programmed us to work and die as a living. But if we're robots, why make us bleed? Yes, it makes our brain process, but why not just make us into some other material so it would be less messy and more efficient? since we're so 'advanced'..okay let me clarify, he says we're 'highly advanced robots'

I dont know... he says he's been having these thoughts ever since 15 and let me remind you he's like 28 right now, kinda dissapointing. It's like "i still believe in santa claus" basically. I mean anyone can believe in the same thing, all it takes is some imagination. I dont even know why i'm fixating on this, guess i'm too curious... but that will probably be the death of me someday ;P

I don't even know what to say about death, it seems like a big adventure to me but if theres nothing afterwards then i guess that is. But i had a guyfriend once who's mother was dying(this was in middle school) when she died she dramatically came back to life and looked at her son and said, "god gave me another chance to say goodbye" then game over, she died. Kinda weird.

So...nobody would live their life any different at all, if you knew (one way or the other) exactly what was going to happen after you died?

Or lemme reverse it. If you knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that there IS a heaven and hell as discussed in..say..the Christian Bible...would you or would you not follow its decrees and whatnot?

I'm saying if I *knew* that either after we die it's eternal nothingness, I'd probably do a lot more while I'm alive, since then it'd be true, really really true, that you "only live once". However, if it was proven (which...it can't really be) that there IS a heaven and hell, an afterlife, and you'll pay the consequences for what you do here and now, in that afterlife, I'd also live a bit differently in that case, also. I'd probably live more spiritually, and work harder toward attaining spriritual ... highness.

I have always wondered and what are some of your thoughts on this as well. Do you suppose that when the Bible speaks of Heaven and Hell that it is not about "going to" but rather creating it here and now for ourselves? Isn't life about right now, this moment because this is all we have...why do we worry about the future and not live with the gift that we are given now?

This has always perplexed me.....
