This is sort of a take off of Pheonix's thread idea... But a bit different... What's the earliest thing you can remember? All thoughs Earliest memories of when you were really little... I always find the things you remember from early childhood to be quite interesting... It's normally just silly things... Like going grocery shopping whith your mom, or planting in the garden, or numerous embarassing moments which we maybe still haven't and perhaps never will get over...

For me, my earliest memories were off one of the earliest houses I lived in (I was about two)... We had a root cellar... And I always wondered why the door to the basement was on the outside... We also had a vegetable garden, and I remember planting things with my mother... I also remember not being able to sleep one night so I snuck out of my room and spied on my parents watching TV from the top of the stairs... After that house we moved back to California for a short time... And I remember going on a picknick with my older cousins, feeding the sea lions who were relaxing under this peir in Santa Cruz, and how my father commented on how they were all "fat guys"... And I remember going to the la brea tar pits in L A and seeing the remains of a sabor tooth tiger... I remember thinking that it must of been awesome to be a sabertooth tiger, and wishing they were still around because I be they'd make the coolest pets... Hmmm... And then we moved back to NY... And I remember teh day my brother was born when I was three and a half... It was raining that day, and I didn't understand at first why my mom was going to the hospital, I asked my grandma if she was sick because I was worried... And then my grandma took me to visit the next day and I remember they had to sneak me in to that section of the hospital because I wasn't old enough to get in... And then my dad and I went to the hospital gift shop and picked out candy for my mom and this blue stuffed teddy bear for my new born brother... Hhhmmm...
