would you really do it? There are so many disadvantages to it the way i see it, not worth the money.

Absolutely. No money in being a good person and generally trying to make the world a better place.
A lifetime of nasty pluto transits has (finally) taught me that making money is all that matters.

Embalmer sounds like a decent career.

Good job security - people are always dying.
And hey, if you make some silly mistake how much damage can you do? the person is dead already.

Lol! I was thinking more about how peaceful my work environment will be like. I can put music on, sing out loud and my clieny won't mind at all.

It's all upsides - whichever way you look at it😉

Man I would have done dog food tasting for free when I was a kid. I was always stealing my dog's food.

eww lol. When I used to waitress, my boss at the restaurant had a poodle that she used to let lick her mouth & that was gross. I like pets, but dont love them like that.

Yeah I'm not into my dogs licking me either... I let one of my cats lick my hand and that's it. Sand paper tongue, I think it's a great exfoliator

One that annoys me most is when they hold your hand & scratches it(the palm) with the index finger. Wtf? I've noticed that most guys like to do that & i find it irritating lol.

Bite bottom lip = Lusting you
Licking lips at you = Lusting you
Licking lips constantly = Gay or needs some lip moistener
Scratches the palm of your hands = *Shruggs*

Just my opinion though.

lol at gay or needs moistener. Do guys also use lip balms? I'd find it weird to see a guy with shiny lips. The palm thing must be an African thing then, it is so annoying that i hope they move on with the rest of the world & drop it.

You know, there are some things i do not wanna see men do & applying a lip balm infront of me would be one of them. When I was dating the scorpio, he did something that made me a little disinterested in him after watching him do it. He came out of the shower & applied nivea for men infront of me, then he bent down to do his legs...that looked so unattractive to me for some reason & I left the room.

bwahahahahahah! Right? Right? I feel you. That should be the good thing about being male. Shower, brush teeth, get dressed, pack yah strap, hit da streets. ***Simple***

i've noticed that too, most men dont care for body lotions & their skin still look okay. I'm also used to men who dont use skin moisturizers, that's why he looked gay when he did that.

Glassblower is an interesting one. Talking of glass, those who make glass artificial eyes also made a list & so did a pet detective lol. Apparently, when your pet is lost you call one of them to track it for you. Weird

u never said weird i thought just stuff we wanted to do lmfao!

To be fair, being a sommelier isn't "just to match up wines and food". It does require quite a lot of knowledge as well as the physical ability to notice the subtle differences.

Also, finding vulnerabilities in computer systems isn't exactly a small thing. It requires both creativity and technical knowledge, which can be quite rare as both sides of the brain are needed extensively.

you're right, but that's basically what it is. Eg. being a cop doesnt = only arresting people, there's a lot that goes into it just like any other job, but arresting people is what they do.

Not really, if they're slathering all over themselves, maybe, but people like their lips if their dry or if they see or think of something nice.

Nem, I would love to be a mortician too if I wasnt too scared. It sounds VERY interesting. When I was still in school a friend's uncle was one & he'd tell stories about how they'd have to glue the eyes and lips to keep them closed for open casket funeral and stuff.

lol - why would a dead person scare you? 😄 fear the relatives if anything!!!

yes, but what you described are gory but practical aspects of dealing with a corpse; sometimes necessary depending on the state of the body etc.

my approach to this profession would be a bit different. i suppose i'm looking for answers, like "where is this person gone to?"

but i also have a strong stomach 😛 so i'm not easily fazed.

your approach is deep, i like it 🙂 My stomach is strong too, but there's something creepy about a dead body. I remember years ago in East London, not really sure how old I was then..me & my friends were playing and this dog came into the yard dragging something. We thought it was a doll, but it was a baby, a real baby. A young girl at our street hid a pregnancy from her parents, gave birth & wrapped the body in a plastic and threw it in the outside dustin..the dogs rummaged & found it. That picture never left my mind, so dead people scare me.

Nem, I kow Gonubie well & lol @ you hating East London..that's my hometown.

Ninja, this kind of thing happens here ALL the time. There was a story like that just a few wks ago. They've found babies logged in toilet pipes after the mother attempted to flush it away, etc. Its nothing new. They even opened up a place called, window of hope, for that purpose. You just drop in your unwanted baby at the window, anonimously..there's always people waiting for the deliveries. No sure what happens to the mothers who're caught thou, the ones who commit crimes. About a year or so back, this girl was crying on tv saying her newborn was stolen at home while she was hanging clothes outside. After much interrogation she cracked & pointed the police to a shallow grave at the back of the house. Some say she smothered it & some reports say she crushed the baby's head with an old fashioned stove iron. We are used to hearing such gory things every other week or so.

And I loved telling it, not gonna lie. But yeah, its our reality.

sad, but true.

what about birth control in SA? is it affordable? the men in the south african society are a huge problem. the weight is carried by african mamas. respect for them and still, they are treated like scum.

is it true, that some men think that having sex with a virgin will cure aids? hence all the child rapes etc.?

true again. Birth control is free

That's so, so sad WC 😢 The world can be such a brutal place. I don't know what to think about any of it, but I commend those who take the babies when their mothers can't or won't look after them. I don't want to judge a lot of those women too harshly because some of their circumstances must be pretty dire... But geez, those poor babies. Having to die because you're an inconvenience. It's just heartbreaking.

It is heartbreaking, but there comes a point where you get used to it all & no longer feel anything...thats where my country is at the moment. Or maybe since way back. The people are numb, even cold hearted. The police are lazy, so criminals face mob justice. You get "necklaced".
