That's awesome!!
I honestly regret not being able to minor in French. I don't have enough time now because I'm graduating this semester, and I already almost had two minors along with my major. However, since I'm taking a little time off before I go to gradschool, I'm thinking of taking some random classes or research in psychology and in French. I love the language too, so I can empathize with you.
It's awesome that you managed to double major. I was starting to burn out when I was considering the idea, and I just decided to finish with my one major; and I had already taken enough classes that if I wanted to declare a minor in biology or sociology, I could.
It's always nice to look back on what you managed to accomplish, though.

a little unsolicited advice...
do it now! i know that there may be financial considerations and that you want to move on to the next phase...masters. but if you plan on being in school at some point in the future, the best time is now.
the economy sucks anyway so an extended stay at school will most likely be to your advantage.click to expand

A SCUBA log. Letters that friends had written me while abroad. Some tests that I'd taken back in the 5th grade. A random folder with my name on it written by my mom. Some old Econ and Accounting notebooks from college. I'm a Taurus...I hoard. Most of the stuff was purely nostalgic, but one item was actually fairly important. It was my college transcript.
It was an official transcript that I'd ordered after I graduated. It was sealed and I'd kept it that way.
I'd never really much cared about graduating. I did very well in school. I mean, I graduated with 158 credit hours, studied abroad, was on the Dean's List, graduated with honors, pledged THE Premier sorority and practically majored in 3 different disciplines and I did this all over the span of 4.5 years. Thing is, I ALWAYS regretted not majoring in French. I was like 2 courses shy of doing so, but I was so tired of college and didn't want to strain my mom's finances, so I took my B-School degree and walked.
Anyhoo, I was sharing my box of dusty memories with Catfish and in the process of doing so decided to open my sealed transcript. I started explaining my grades and bragging about my heavy course load and at the end of all this, I folded it and began to put it away. Right when I was doing so, I noticed something...
I DOUBLE MAJORED!
I was so shocked. I'd NEVER looked at my transcript...EVER! I mean, I knew what my grades were. I knew what I GPA I graduated with so why in the hell would there be an unknown major on my transcript?
Apparently, I majored in Modern Foreign Languages. The funny thing is, I took French for years because I enjoyed it. I never really saw any payoff from it, but hey, I was in school and it was something to do. Recently, I considered getting my Masters in French and the first step in doing so was to complete the 2 courses I needed to get my BA. I can't tell you the amount of joy, amazement and pride I felt today in realizing that all of my effort wasn't for naught.
So yeah. I'm so smart that I'm stupid. I didn't even have this shit on my resume! Speaking of which...
