I'm a cancer moon, but have never been with an Aqua moon.
It would seem difficult if both hide emotions. Especially with how stubborn Cancer moon is with showing them and how hurt Aqua moon is with not being shown them, while hiding theirs as well.
Doesn't seem like a good balance and it seems like it would be torture for the Cancer moon.
