The entire CD is #fire

I like the first 4 tracks. Especially Tom Ford. Can't knock them.
The rest of the album... eh. He is showing his age. All these lines dissing the current generation for hashtags tweets etc. I'm not into twitter so I know where he's coming from. But this is a middle aged man's album. He's losing touch with today.

I wasn't all that impressed. Though, I've never been a fan of Jay-Z's music. "Oceans" and that one song with Rick Ross are the only ones I'd consider listening to more than once.
He should stick to being rich. 😛

I dont think so at all. He doesn't sound like a middle aged man to me.
He might not be rapping about pulling up to the scene with the ceiling missing, but stlll knocks to me. Lol.
Lmfaoclick to expand

Even Jay said it was like his 4th best album in his opinion. He knows it's not his greatest work, but it might've been the greatest with his business move.

Rappers/musicians are like athletes once they're past their prime, it's gone. They'll never reproduce entirely what made them great in the first place but they might show glimpses of it from time to time.
This is how I view post-retirement/comeback Jay-Z. I ain't even mad that his bars aren't what they were 10-15 years ago, the hunger's gone that's fine. He's made a fortune, he has doesn't have much else to prove, I understand that.
With that said I hold Jay-Z to higher standard.
FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt, Oceans and the Beyonce duet are stand outs.
Honorable mentions to Picasso Baby, F.U.T.W., Somewhere in America, Heaven, BBC - all solid.
the rest I weren't feeling.
