Constantly Hear Faint Music

I'm very aware my childhood home is haunted, my parents have left the house to me and me and my two best friends stayed in it for 3 nights and everything was great until we would go to sleep. We were staying in the living room and I'm usually okay with sleeping in silence and complete darkness, but everytime we'd lay down to sleep I'd have to put a night light in the kitchen because I felt weird. When we would all lay down everything got silent and out of nowhere I'd hear music. The first night I couldn't hear it that well, the second night I could hear it more, and that night I played music on my phone so there would be some sound to cover the weird noises. The third night I seriously heard guitars and voices, but it wasn't clear music to where I could hear words, but it sounded like it was coming from outside, so I asked my friend if she could hear music and she said no so we got up and walked outside where it was dead silent...we walked back in and then I couldn't hear it...Is this normal? Were my ears just playing tricks on me?

To add to this, I've always been creeped out by this house but it's gotten better. I've only ever seen a tall black figure of a man with a trench coat and top hat, but my boyfriend insists he's seen a black shadow in the hall next to our kitchen. Growing up in the house my parents slept with the tv on in the living room to have sound because my dad couldn't sleep without sound, and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it? (My parents are still alive btw.)

Anyway, if anyone has any advice or idea of what is happening?? Please let me know lol

Are you on any medication?

Seriously.

Some medications will do that to you, esp certain opiates.

The music, I mean... lol

When you felt that the music was comming from outside but not from inside of the house which you consider to be haunted, then there's nothing to worry.
Maybe you have a better hearing power than your friend thatswhy only you could hear it and not your friend.
At night, when everything is quite, we may hear noices from far places because it's being carried by wind. When the wind stopped the noices also stopped comming.
Seeing a dark shadow is common too, what your bf have seen. I see dark shadows too. It's just an illusion.
When and where did you see that tall figure of a man wearing hat?

I just created an account because there has been music playing in my apartment which others are unable to hear. It's been happening quite frequently at my place, I do have spirits who come in and out which terrified me at first. They have their own stuff going on, things they're doing. My floors creak constantly, that's generally my tell to know someone's around. In fact i'm pretty sure someone is downstairs with me right now as I type this, but you learn to live with it. I've had crazy unexplained experiences.

Not sure if you'll even read this because it was posted months ago, but I just wanted to bring it up because it's a very valid topic. They're everywhere, and although most people cannot see non physical they're still there. I like to think that the spirits are just having fun parties in the afterlife, because they probably are. It is a little creepy, but know that this does happen you're not the only one who can hear other worlds.

Oh I definitely know of tinnitus, and have looked into that as a possible source of these activities. I have a really good friend who can actually see non physical (ghosts) and they are indeed a part of my household, and rather active ones living their own afterlives. It's not like a one time occurrence, I just felt like bumping because I wish it was talked about more, or that more people with these experiences come around. This music is actual edm/trance type strange music, which essentially sounds like someone is having a party. My roommate actually heard a mexican fiesta type thing going on in my room once and I am not the type of person to play that ever lol. Something just made me search it up to see if anyone else shared the experience too 🙂 it's pretty weird and cool.

Out of curiosity, do you know who were the past home owners if there were any? Have you ever tried talking to them through a ouija board? Lol.

No unfortunately, It's a brand new building but apparently there was a fire previously and i'm not sure if any lives were lost. I studied and practiced Reiki for a while, which according to my friend was the reason for all the new activity, I somehow opened up a little gateway in my house which does bring through good and bad things, especially when I attempted to force my third eye open. I try to sage everyday however, and have had other pretty crazy occurrences since I've lived here the past year. Never talked through a ouija, I think i'm a little too scared for that. They do talk to my friend when she's over however, and they tell me things about my life currently, my future etc. I really need to write a post on this.
