She had a birthday get together. Unfortunately, I am unable to make it for a number of reasons.


She is going to clobber me with shitbricks.

I dunno. But she seemed upset when I informed her via phone that I was overwhelmed with other obligations. Like, serious obligations. Plus, I am in a different city.

I apologized more than once. I feel bad, which is strange b/c she doesn't even bother to wish me a "happy birthday" when it comes, lol.

I guess it's partly b/c I did give her my word that I'd be there, initially. It is important to follow through with promises, or else don't make them. ya know?

I guess I just feel like I shouldn't fall into the tit-for-tat thinking, and just try to sacrifice and go anyway. If I do, I would really REALLY be inconveniencing myself. I explained to her the sudden obligations that seem to have popped up out of nowhere on me.
