Best:

Jamaica- genuine people, relaxed atmosphere, great weather, beautiful beaches, good food

Greek Islands - similar to Jamaica but different culture overall

Netherlands- very laid back laws, pretty towns, cool people who can speak English well

Worst:

1. Germ-many- it's called Germ-many for a reason! The fact that the people are known as germ-manic is no accident!

2. Ivory Coast- a bunch of rude, French speaking African'ts

3. USA- are there any good places left here? What a crap hole of a country!

Granted, Chance,

Hawaii is nice but the natives there do not see themselves as Americans, but rather as a conquered, colonized people. It's also far from the mainland, which gives it great appeal. I would agree, though I must say Hawaii is an exception for these very reasons.

Cuba from what I hear is good times. Basically, almost anywhere you go in the Caribbean will be a good bet!

I agree, Nocal has some very beatifiul country especially the redwoods and the PCH. But the fake ass people with their contrived Nocal vibes turn me off. Just a bunch of rednecks by and large around there.

As far as SoCal, forget about it. Oregon could get a pass but there is just something off about the people in general. Too fake-chilled out for me I guess.

And Alaska is also separated from the mainland, so it's another exception. Most parts of the USA that are not connected to the mainland I.e. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii, eyc are nice purely for that very reason!

Best -

Indonesia - The people! Smiling, welcoming and love to have fun. Very spiritual and insightful outlook on life at any age. Incredible food

Barbados - Reserved folks but funny without trying. Beautiful beaches

Korea - I liked it better than Japan though I spent less time there. I have a lot of Korean friends so bias

The most interesting goes to Cambodia for beauty and despair. It had the biggest impact on me.

US - NYC and San Francisco

Canada - Montreal and Vancouver. All of BC is amazing if you like nature

Worst -

Singapore - anal flanked by superiority.

Mexico - I was surrounded by tourists maybe that's why. Didn't like the food

I wouldn't describe ppl in Nocal as rednecks at all, but I didn't like the ppl in San Francisco at all. So elitist and snobby and brag about their fitness and overrated useless startups...ugh. I'm from Boston (omg! a masshole!) but at least we're earnestly assholes, and not condescendingly assholes

Geez

loved Hawaii tho, the only place in the US where I wasn't a minority! 🙂

You definitely have to get over odour phobias in Asia. The open sewers in rural areas did take some getting used to.

The funniest was being at an open market in Laos and wondering why the black clothes on the table seemed to be moving.

Then the flies lifted off of the meat being sold. damn!

I've been to a market in metro Manila Called Quiapo, which is hands down the funkiest smelling place I have ever been. I still get grossed out thinking about it. Hygiene in those parts of the world is definitely an issue.

Ever been up to Eureka/Humboldt county? There will be more rednecks than you would ever dream could possibly exist. Once you get in the mountains of nocal, you are not in SF anymore!

I agree, Bostonians are some assholes but there is some great whale watching to be had around cape cod. But it's just too posh and elitist around those parts from me.
