I read an article on pisces which stated that finding a soul mate is "the reason for being" for us. Though I found that to be true to a great extent, I am more than hopeful it can be overcome. Having come out of hell empty handed several times -yes, it was my fault every time, I made terrible choices- on the one hand I feel determined never to need anyone again, but even then it's something of a struggle. Is this the pisces duality in action? If so, and there is a resolution within this lifetime, would that be what the evolution of the soul is made up of? I??ve been curious to know for a while how the transition from incarnation to incarnation plays out from sign to sign throughout a lifetime. I have a wide range of interests, from philosophy to history, to the occult (I find that to be true about pisces) and wonder if making that the "center" of this lifetime vs. the "need to connect" would mark the transition to a future incarnation as a more goal/career oriented sign, say, for example an aries? I??ve gone through several astrology books but haven't come across a direct approach to this. Does one go through every degree of a sign before reaching another sign or are there "leaps"?

This is my first post here -and I read through several of the older posts- and I thought it would be interesting to hear what so many pisces in one place would have to say about these things.

Maybe, its the Piscean need for re-assurance that we get from a meaningful relationship that helps us grow stronger and more courageous...and that sparks or encourages our deep inner abilities to create, invent or even simply point out something thats been missing to the world.

Traditionally Pisces is the final sign, all the dealings are done and now its time to 'get off the big wheel' as George Harrison put it.But the two fishes are tied. Some say we are torn between the physical and spiritual, struggling in both directions.I think there is alot of sorting out for us to do within ourselves before we get involved with someone else.If our reason for being is to find our soulmate well there is gonna be alot of misses till we find it...for some then, alot of upset

Also Pisces are easily absorbed and influenced by their enviroment where if we are escapist in a hedonistic or imaginative sense we can become trapped or too accepting of our mundane enviroments. If we find the right kind of place and are in the company of the right people I think we can really unleash the fuller potential of our talents and intelligence.

'Happiness is nothing if it cant be shared'...I like that quote from 'Into the Wild'.To me it implies that one has to do their own soulsearching,to find and appreciate the pure joy deep within their own soul and then bring it to the world where it will be appreciated and hence happiness.

I can agree to some extent to much of what you guys have said. With regard to no man being an island to himself, I guess I didn't think of going to that extreme, though, for a period of 4 years I lived in nearly perfect solitude, just work and reading and writing at home -with occasional visits-. I must say, the hermit life holds great appeal to me, but like I said, we needn't go to that extreme. I guess my greater point is that looking back on the periods where I had serious relationships I think "those were some dark times..." they did not fill my life with happiness, quite the opposite, they made my life hell. From watching partners descend down the drug lane all the way to heroin to, common cheating, to, suicidal episodes, to all sorts of bad experiences. It's a terrible thing to watch a person you love destroy her/himself.
Then, with regard to what someone mentioned about the joy of sharing your life, yes, of course, to share the greatest and deepest intensities would be great, but is it even achievable? I had intense romances, and twice I thought I had found that ONE right person only to unmask the cruelest illusions.(Leos and Capricorns can have really cruel streaks!) No, at 27 I can look back and say that on the whole, it didn't bring a whole lot of joy and happiness into my life, quite the opposite, anxieties, grief, sickness. I ask myself, "Do I want that to be the measure of my life?" Pathetic, no! Which is why I think of shifting all my focus towards work, reading, writing, I'm about to start printing a poetry book I wrote. I don't know, make something out of life in itself, cause the alternative feels more like a deep dark hole. Of course that's where my piscean nature kicks in, that empty feeling that phooey mentioned, the struggle kicks in and I truly wish my own nature would make things a little easier instead of harder. I don't know, I'm just convinced there has to be more than what has been so far, and obviously what I??ve been searching for is not the path to a richer life. In a broader context of astrology, I wondered if this marked a kind of transition point. Thinking on those books that paint pisces as the final sign -and being born march 11th- that sounds like a pleasant enough notion, not in a negative sense, quite the opposite. Or, of course, the alternative, getting started all over again. Aries? Hmmm...

"SUN IN PISCES.
Pisces or fish is characterized by continuous psychic dynamics. People with Sun in Pisces have a great inner sensitivity, and this to some extent makes them suffer a little, as they often feel part of everything or the suffering of others. So the first recommendation for the person with the Sun in Pisces is to adopt a discipline of personal achievement. Since your subconscious psychic world is so complex, it is necessary to polarize, to balance and complement the interior so strongly with a discipline of physical nature: adopting a balanced eating and as constant as possible, doing a sport or any martial discipline and / or doing some manual work in nature from time to time. These activities if they are not directly related to the psychic, do act on the soul level indirectly and very powerful."...grupovenus.com

Im lucky in a sense lately that my new job is about 90% manual labour. From time to time it puts my strength and endurance to the test and causes me increase physically.I feel this is redirecting energy focus from the psyche to the physical which in turn is balancing me out.Even though I dont consider myself that physically fit,I do seem to have a great inner reserve of strenght when it gets tough.I think its very therapeutic for a Pisces to get this side of reality in check from time to time.

@Phooey..good luck with the new job!...mine has done me a world of good so far!
