Sheeeeees back today and I'm filled with dread

Pisces fem returns today from a long biz trip with her old boss. I have had a glorious time without her presence but now she's back. Ugh

Tried all of the diff advice: Just be nice, ignore, focus on your own work...etc. tried all of it nothing worked

Her dependence and smothering always catches me off guard when she comes into my office yet she hasn't learned that my ignoring for weeks means I don't wanna talk. Yet I still get random questions about my weekend that lead to her boasting about hers. I DON'T CARE.

Where did the annoyance start. When I started to notice her patterns of not working hard, not following policy, her having to be reminded to be a team player. It basically comes down to her not pulling her weight or just doing the minimum. It's annoying how occasionally we get ppl who just barely do anything and pretend to do stuff when management us around. How do these people stay in these jobs so long. The laziest if them all managed to be in his position for 3.5 years til a new manager was on his ass for not doing things right. He couldn't handle it and quit. Amazed me how he had his job longer than she had.

But she I can't seem to get her to f*k off .... Ugh

It's not that she's being devious directly or maybe she is. She does her work but only if management asks her to do something but if they don't she does nothing. She just sits there until then with her online radio with her door closed (everyone keeps theirs open). It's like y cant she jump in I mean I doubt she even knows what is going on day to day. But because she always does what she's asked and is always nice and social they don't notice

Hell she doesn't even like helping other ppl. She hates answering phones and always makes excuses. She said she always came at 9 and not 8 cause she lived far. She doesn't live far anymore (5 minutes away) and she still shows up at anytime between 9:07 - 9:15. She's already annoyed other ppl from other depts because when they ask her to do something she doesn't do it right away.

It's like she wants to earn $ $ $ doing the least possible. She can't even handle her work load, bugs ppl to help (even tho she doesn't help others hardly). Then sends this company wife email. Thanking those that helped her (making her look good)

Ugh. At least she can't use her trade show excuse anymore (putting this together is alot of work. Wah wah wah). What excuse will she use now

Oh that sounds really annoying! Blah! Maybe not devious in a maliciously cunning manner but her ego is making sure she gets to do her lazy thing. But yeah, I can understand why this can be a frustrating thing to have to be around.

What's even worse is mgmt sees nothing wrong and even if they did they don't do anything about anything for a long time but yet the "notice" when it comes to good employees

you choose to remain stuck. why do you expect her to change? shift your perspective....you have choices and options.

focus on your own work - there is always room for improvement in oneself.

i was struggling with somebody at work myself, a few months into the job i realized what a jerk he was and did not want to work with him; so i went to the boss and told him i would like a new position or team. bear in mind, i was prepared to leave if my request got declined.

I am stuck in a way. I get paid well plus they have this thing about professional nicety so I'm forced to be nice but since she considers ppl being nice as in they care about what she has to say I chose to ignore her but she keeps buggggging me every day despite me not really talking back.

She probably is oblivious. How am I two faced. I can't be mean so I ignore yet line I said she bugs me everyday, throws herself into my conversations with other people, and I keep declining invites

And she shouldn't be all offended if I decline lunch. I don't have to go to lunch with her!!!! She never asks anyone else. And she won't go to after hour work events unless I'm going.

Wow someone must be on the rag enough to be hostile on a message board lol

I do now recall other threads have been made about this pisces and it was starting to look like you had developed a strong fixation - not good for either of you.

Yeah it was too much at one point. It got to the point where she'd smother me or was so clingy she would get offended if i didn't want to go to lunch with her or hang out with her after work. She'd literally cop an attitude and yet she wouldn't ask anyone else to hang out.

She may be someone who (maybe due to previous experiences) got abandoned, or ditched or neglected which created the clingyness. Either way it's bothersome.
