Have you ever met a new person and you knew instantly that the two of you would be great friends? There was just this connection, the moment you shook hands and were introduced. You don't know why you two were drawn . . you just were and now you have a good friend, for life.
Have you ever just known something, your gut instincts talked to you and the instinct was correct . . it knew?
Have you ever had deja-vu . . your intuition knows things beyond what our conscious mind can even begin to comprehend.
Our souls just know things and it drives us towards people, vocations, items, situations . . sometimes, it's so powerful within us that it gives us waking visions. And that's just "ONE" soul, our own.
So, wouldn't it be logical to believe that if there were "TWO" souls, you and your soulmate, with all this power . . that they would be drawn together and nothing in this physical world would be able to stop it?
Wouldn't a force that strong be like magnets, and these two souls wouldn't have a choice, except subconsiously move in this world toward each other?
I'm not looking for confirmation on this . . I'm just looking to see what other people believe about this phenomena.
At this point in my life . . over 47 years . . my view on "soulmates" have changed. I used to believe that every person has just "one" soulmate that they are suppose to be with, but, now I don't because if there was that person out there who was the perfect partner . . our souls would be drawn together.
So, I'm thinking that there is no such thing. It jsut doesn't seem logical that something so strong and powerful would be able to withstand our intellectual choices, I would think we would have no control over the force.
Pretty much just looking to see what other people think about the topic.
Hey P-Angel, I'm going thru that right now with a Libra guy. He gave me a small card that shook me up spiritually just as he was telling me that he was trying to turn his life around spiritually and wanted to share that with me. When we talk, it's deep, honest, and has a spiritual vibe to the atmosphere around us. I don't want to lose that and I'm hoping that he sticks around in my life. Yet, only God knows if that's possible. Dreamy-Eyez, out.
I don't know if I believe in the whole "soul mate" thing, and maybe because so many times I thought that I had found him and he turned out to be everything but. I guess I am tired of wishing and hoping the this one is the "one". I shouldn't be so negative but I will be 38 and my belief that I will some day meet my soul mate is starting to diminsh. Maybe my ex is my soul mate. We are trying again for the third time, or is that just settling and staying in the comfort zone.
You have waaaaay more than one soul mate in your life. Soul mates are people whom you meet in your life to learn a lesson from. The 'valentines' type definition of soul mate is so constrictive. Soul mates are not forever...the lessons you learn from them are...
