for the love of god, sometimes it seems like a constant tug-of-war...

i'm a pisces male (as you know), and my girlfriend is virgo. we've been together for about 4 months. things are usually good and functional, but anytime we have problems, they're always a result of communication gaps.

she is very private, independent and stubborn. i am more talkative, open, and focused on her. i'll tell her what i'm feeling, whenever i'm feeling it. she hesitates, resorting to answering questions by saying "i dunno" and other ways to keep things to herself.

i fear that if and when we break up, it will be due to simple communication differences. can you or anyone else provide some help?

are virgos and pisces destined to grow apart?

how can you stick together?

Hi Ichthyo!

You are a "dream come true" kinda guy! OK! But, that is not answering your question...and it is indeed a tough issue!

I was reading about Virgo female and Pisces male in one of my books...it looks like for the most part, you should be able to communicate well.

However, many couples experience difficulty in communicating when the waters are troubled (that is not a Pisces pun)...I mean when they are fighting, having a disagreement or whatever it is considered...for whatever reason, the sense of harmony is broken.

Communication is a developed skill for the most part, especially conflict resolution! True, the Sun signs have their influences regarding how a person does or does not communicate...
But, for the most part it is something that takes effort and even skill...and a willingness to try to do your best to communicate honestly even when it is tough to do so...
This is the reason there are therapists, marriage counselors, etc.

I also think that Pisces is more introspective than Virgo is...Pisceans understand themselves better because they have analyzed themselves...Virgo knows how they like things to be, but, may not have analyzed why or their reactions and the why of their reactions when the perfect order they worked hard at is upset...

When things are not harmonious, she actually may not "know" what is wrong exactly...because she does not know herself as well as you know yourself...there can be a sort of confusion of sorts as she tries to sort and file...(sorting and filing, mentally speaking, is something that is important to Virgo).

I believe everyone would benefit from daily meditaion and reflection (essentially introspection) as well as working on unconditionally loving themselves as part of the meditative process..

Ichthyo, she is VERY lucky to have someone like you, who is able to communicate in those tough times! Many people are weak in this area! The only thing I can suggest is patience and if the communication is at a standstill, ask if it can be discussed later (after she has sorted and filed...) but, do not let it go without some discussion in the near future. The more a couple work at conflict resolution in those tough times, the easier it becomes...

Many think they are good at fighting! And perhaps they are...but, if it does not ever resolve, what is the point?

I hope I was of some help...

I think you are great! I wish you the best!

Take Care!

hey star

thank you for the compliments. they've helped me feel a bit better.

as for your response, everything rang true. my best friend is a virgo, and his mind works the exact same way as you described it. both my best friend and my girlfriend drive me f*** nuts sometimes, because apparently, they both figured out the nature of reality and how the entire world works when they were 4. all sarcasm aside, it's this very certainty about life, and levelheaded practicality that makes me love these stubborn virgos like the rotten monkeys they are.

but, JEEZUS!!

my girlfriend is surprisingly out of touch with her own feelings and responses (well...in my opinion), but i think you're right; time is essential.

for the next couple days, i'm not going to contact her (she lives 2 hours from me), and i will wait until she contacts me (you know...the old cold shoulder). i think in part she was having a really rough day today, so i'm hoping my points make a little more sense to her tomorrow.

thank you again star, and please don't hesitate to write back about anything you think might help!

word up.

hey, i'm thinking about the moon.

yesterday was a full moon, and i'm sure it had some effect on my girlfriend. she seemed unreasonable and rather different than usual. i probably was too.

you know what i'm saying? i've noticed that during the days surrounding a full moon (i.e. the days before, during and after), people get all weird. like, sensitive, touchy, agitated.....never anything really positive it seems. maybe the effects can be positive if you're a cancer or something, but jesus!

seriously...people are worse drivers on full moons! i swear! every single full moon, i kinda sense this weird vibe in the air...almost electric in nature...and it's just...like things are out of synch....a different tune, and most people can't find the beat.

what's your take on this star?

Man! Thanks for reminding me! I now have an excuse!!!

I was a lunatic yesterday! I bitched out the Aquarians over a silly little matter and had a quarrel with some "not worth it" negative person who doesn't listen to reason anyway!

I am much more rational today!

We used to see a lot of unusual behaviors among the elderly with the full moon...but also with major changes in barometric pressure...

I do have what I call "Mad Scientist" hair...what do you propose I cook up? (My friends think it is funny, but disagree about the comparison to a "Mad Scientist"...but, I like the idea!)

(Just an observation: people your age rarely use i.e.) (Cool that you do! It is my fave "such as" or "for example" abbr. there is!)

Hmmmm...I shall now pay more attention to the moon cycle and human behavior in relation to...

Sorry wasn't more help!
The Aquarian guy I am seeing is amazing!! I just gotta say that and now I am done...spent...will sleep for 3 weeks...(Kidding...can't...no time!)

Hey...you be good and stay in tune with the universe!! You be good at it!

Take Care!

Hi, I am a Scorpio. I know Virgos too well and unfortunately, they seem to repress their emotions much too often for my liking. I love some Virgos, but I thrive on my emotions!!!!

PISCES AND VIRGO

Pisces's affectionate nature intrigues Virgo at first, but these two personalities are just too opposite for any rapport. Virgo, being a mental sign, distrusts emotions whereas Pisces runs its life emotionally rather than intellectually. Reserved, fault-finding Virgo won't satisfy sexually, and when Virgo's sexual rebuffs start that awakens all the Piscean insecurities. Virgo also can't give Pisces the romance or ego-bolstering Pisces needs, and Pisces proves to be too unstable for exacting Virgo. Virgo will resent Pisces's dependency. This soon becomes a toboggan to nowhere.

Ichthyo,

If you want the true, down and dirty, grit....
Get it.
Have a compatibility chart done by a professional...not me...not someone here...
Sharsung@yahoo.com is an astrologer from Hawaii..not free, but, good...she has a website but I cannot locate it....
You will need your birthdate, time and location as well as hers.
She uses a method I am not familiar with...but, found my compatibility chart to be QUITE accurate!

Ichthyo,
I know I can sound blunt at times...
I did not mean in any way that I do not enjoy conversing with you...but, I do think if you think she is possibly "the one", if I were you I would get a real compatiblity chart done...and not by "Kelly Fox" either...her responses are canned as are mine and the others on this board.

I do hope all is well with you...and I will always believe in a four letter word called "Hope" (as well as many other four letter words!! LOL...but, I have made a promise to myself to get rid of the negativity that overcame me on the Aquarius site!!)

Take care!

totally. when my virgo girlfriend relaxes, or surprises me with a bold new...uh..."move," it's like a cosmic sexual supernova.

but maybe this is the case with all couples.

star, i think you're right about getting a real reading. i probably won't right now, because i don't feel my girlfriend is "the one," but i will do so if i'm convinced a future girlfriend is marriage material.

i don't think you're too blunt. i think you should be more blunt, more often. 🙂

"ichthyo," or "ichthy" means fish in latin, (hence, ichthyology). i just chose it because i thought it sounded more boss than "fish" or "fishman"....although i did consider calling myself "ichthyo-sapien," but that would have been ripping off a particular comic book i love, called Hellboy.

so, as for this new-found lifetime-love of yours, i obviously must ask...what sign is he?

Hi!

OK...thanks for answer to the reason for your name...I thought it was a Shakespeare character that I had missed...

He is an Aquarius (as am I), but, with Leo Rising...
and...he is Amazing!

However, with the method the Hawaiian astrologer used...I was a Capricorn and he was still an Aquarius, but, everything else was different...when I questioned her, she explained there are different methods...however, I have not yet found a book using the method she used! But, I find the compatiblity chart to be proving itself to be accurate!

I am in love with him...but, I am a goddamn stubborn woman and won't tell him! Not 'til he says it first!

I think he is crazy about me, anyway!

Thing is we are having too much fun...those little issues, don't seem to matter at the moment!

We have been seeing each other for a year now...casually at first...

He is my best friend! That is very important to me! And, besides the other things he can do! LOL!...he listens! I was shocked when he remembered names of people and other such things...and would ask me about it the next time I saw him...cool, huh? (OK...maybe you do that...but, not all guys do...)

You are a good guy, Ichthyo!
I wish you the best!

I would have to agree with you capvirgo ... ironically, there seems to be a lot of attraction between the two, though. Of all the people who come to our board to post about relationships with Pisces people .. the majority are Virgo's ... and 99% of the time, by the time they reach out here, the relationship is already in peril because of this difficulty in relating with each other.

Plain and simple ... these two signs don't understand each other easily.

I think it may help some if pisces has some significant earth, and virgo some significant water in their respective charts, which may give some common ground, shared interests, viewpoints, etc. Likely, not so great for communication at the best of times, especially if pisces has mercury in pisces & Virgo mercury in virgo. True opposing forces, stubborn heads will surely prevail. At any rate it's an extra* benefit to have mercury (planet of communication) conjunct, sextile or trine each others. You will tend to speak the same language and have a similar mind-set.. *communication flows more effortlessly.

I NEED HELP. SOMEBODY ANYBODY! I'm a Pisces male, and I always keep falling in love with Virgo Females. I'm a very sensitive guy. And when i fall in with love someone, I'd give anything and everything, in the world to be with them, sometimes even my life if i had to. But for some odd reason, they find my eccentricity somewhat disconcerting, and actually, it makes them feel downright uncomfortable.

I have an uncanny ability for perception, and from experience, they don't like it when i know how they are feeling, even if they don't say anything at all. I don't have to ask somebody how they are felling, to know, i can just feel it, through and through.

I fall in love a little too easily. But especially with Virgos. I don't know what it is about them that makes me like them so damn much, but everytime i do, and reject me, Belive it or not, I cry.

I know that Virgos appreciate honesty, as do i. But when i explain my feelings about certain things, or anything for that matter, i start to sense that they are feeling uncomfortable.

I would assume that it is because i am very deep with ,my feelings.

WHAT ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH CAN I DO TO MAKE A VIRGO LIKE ME BACK?

I'm in love right now with a young Virgo lady, and i want to shower her with love and gifts, and everything else she could ever want. I'm getting so frustrated, because i also find them exceptionally attractive.

I Would love nothing more, than to know how it would feel to make love to a Virgo woman. I always wondered what it would feel like. I keep looking it up on horoscope websites and all that stuff. alot of them keep saying that lovemaking between a Virgo and Pisces, is the deepest of all the zodiac signs. If I were to get with a Virgo female, what would the lovemaking be like?

Any relationship between two opposites are major learning curves. They are the perfect chance for an individual to come full circle with themselves. Virgo and Pisces in that sense will always have their differences and you are supposed to learn to let go and learn from eachother. Being in a romantic relationship with your opposite is truly a gift as it is possibly the most fulfilling gift of life. They do not drift apart even though initially it may seem so. but in reality when the two reach a close mutual understanding they actually merge to become two sides of the same coin.
Pisces and Virgos are generally "meant to be together" despite the differences.
