First; what IS a Decan?
Everyone is born within a particular decan sign. We use the word decan (pronounced "deck-han") which derives from the Greeks, meaning, "ten day's apart." Knowing your Sun sign and your decan is the best way to truly distinguish you apart from the other decans within your Sun Sign. ElusiveSoul, I also tend to feel a strong Aqua influence but more in terms of my reactions and thoughts on relationships. I can be very aloof and detached until I fall for someone. But it takes me FOREVER to actually get to that point. And even when I do I still need a lot of space and can seem hot and cold.

There is no such a thing to me as "warming up" to people, specially not those of a romantic interest. My darling has Venus in Aries too. We spoke off and on (strictly platonic)for a couple years then hung out for a couple months without so much as a kiss or hand holding. All of a sudden he became very direct and asked why I was playing hard to get. I did not know he was interested! We finally became a couple and to my surprise the friendship blossomed even more and the sex is maddeningly passionate! Surprise! Surprise!
My Sag moon requires space as well so I hope this will help us both to understand the needs of the other without taking offense.

Libra moon here. I'm not sure which aspects of my chart make me hot and cold. All I can say is I lose interest easily. But interest can be rekindled fairly easily too. I kind of need someone to pull me along into a relationship because I'm always one foot out the door lol. If they have one foot out too then I'm gone. But if I like someone and they're a good fit for me and they don't let me keep one foot out then I almost grudgingly stay. Until I'm completely hooked. Once that happens I'm in with both feet.
I'd say the hot and cold with your boyfriend is more than likely the typical pisces need for space and time to reflect and recharge.

I'm venus in pisces. From all that I've read about that I don't relate at all to my venus. I don't often feel an instant connection. But when I do I almost don't trust it lol. I just chalk it up to lust for me! But as I said to ninalove above, I have to practically be dragged into love. I wish I knew more about my chart and how the different placements work together.
And I TOTALLY relate to the no over-fondling unless I've given the green light lol!! That's me to a tee 🙂

well, first decan too. some things are fitting other parts not so much. i don't think you can slip this on like a glove. it shows possible tendencies; i recognize traits of all three decans in myself. sometimes more apparent and sometimes less.

Although I may not be a Pisces but from what I have observed fishes come in so many different forms, always changing constantly depending upon surroundings, environment, mood, and people that it is hard to strictly place any fish in a box. A mutable sign as it is, ever changing but I guess this gives a very very general gist...

Astrology gives insight, certainly provides people with many perspectives to dissect, making them all apart of many possibilities. It is upon us to take this vast amount of information at hand and derive what we should from it. At the end of the day, each person is an individual with an upbringing, a cultural background, traditions, etc. all which may reflect upon their personality and behavior. Like Psychology, I believe Astrology alone does not provide all the answers but it certainly widens one's breath of knowledge.click to expand

nina, i have the same birthday as your man and i can say i'm very hot/cold in my relationships. i need a lot of reassurance to express myself and not disappear into my own pool of emotion. being a first decan pisces with a scorpio ascendant makes me very intense and i'm always holding back as to not push people away with my passion. i also need time to recharge my batteries and mull over my feelings which can feel like i'm pulling away. just be patient with him (: it'll be worthwhile.

Thanks for this...there are many days I find myself on the fence. He happens to have his moon in Cancer and it certainlly makes an argument a tad more interesting. His Pisces rising well...let's just say...colors his perspective all the more vividly!

Well, I'm a little like 1st Decan Pisces descriptions.. I DO see my Pisces parts peeking through.. but I'm WAY more like 3rd Decan Aqua descriptions. *shrug* I'm not surprised, being born only about 8 hours into Pisces.
*ponder* when I was still very young, I always felt.. different, disconnected almost. I knew from an *incredibly* young age that I was not "normal" (whatever that is haha).. throughout Elementary and Junior High, I think I still tried to fit in, to conform myself to be like others, to "pass" for normal. By the time I was in High School, I embraced my difference.. realized I was NEVER going to be able to conform, it went against my very nature.. I flow but I do not conform.. seems almost a contradiction, but it isn't. All my Mutable, changeable Pisces.. I'm chameleon and ever-changing.. yet I remain the same at the core.. I self-improve, but never at the cost of myself, and never because of what someone else thinks I should do.. and that's quite Aqua of me too, that marching to my own drum and damn the world thing.
Around age 11 or 12, I started getting heavily into Astrology.. and finally saw something that reflected ME.. it explained a lot, helped me to understand myself better.. and the more I learned, the more I understood... but some things still didn't fit.. I felt divided, but not in a painful way.. more of a curious thing, a "why am I still SO different even here?" thing.. learning about Cusps explained my "fence-straddling" feeling all my life.. I was not one thing, nor another.. I was both, simultaneously.. not uncomfortable, but baffling.. pulled, but not torn. I am (what I feel to be) an almost even blend of Aquarius and Pisces.. if I had more Aqua placements, I'm sure I'd feel more Aqua.. That's some strong Aqua pull - with three MAIN Pisces planets (Sun, Rising, Mercury).. I still feel only HALF Pisces and HALF Aqua?! Around age 11 or 12, I started getting heavily into Astrology.. and finally saw something that reflected ME.. it explained a lot, helped me to understand myself better.. and the more I learned, the more I understood... but some things still didn't fit.. I felt divided, but not in a painful way.. more of a curious thing, a "why am I still SO different even here?" thing.. learning about Cusps explained my "fence-straddling" feeling all my life.. I was not one thing, nor another.. I was both, simultaneously.. not uncomfortable, but baffling.. pulled, but not torn. I am (what I feel to be) an almost even blend of Aquarius and Pisces.. if I had more Aqua placements, I'm sure I'd feel more Aqua.. That's some strong Aqua pull - with three MAIN Pisces planets (Sun, Rising, Mercury).. I still feel only HALF Pisces and HALF Aqua?! Okay, I've just been informed of something astrologically altering.. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it.
That discussion up there ^^^ is what I talked over with my Mom tonight.. I mentioned how strange it was that I feel so Aqua, when I have so many main planets in Pisces.. she was quiet a moment and hesitantly asked if birth time changes anything, even if birth time is only a LITTLE off?.. My heart starts pounding.. I said that indeed it CAN change things considerably.. and what is she getting at?
Well, I was born in the backseat of my grandparent's Buick on the way to the hospital -- that's always been known, and they laughingly blame my COLD start for my sheer hatred of Michigan winters. Also known: my umbilical cord was cut in the parking lot, my Mom was given a private room in 1972 WITH my bassinet in-room (because I was born outside of the hospital, to protect the other babies from my "germs" lol), and though the first on-scene physician who attended me had his name TYPED on my birth certificate, he never actually SIGNED it (that nearly prevented me renewing my ID in CA in 1996!).. since then, I learned the reason for THAT.. he could NOT sign, as he did not witness the birth. My youngest child was born at home, in the presence of my mother, and SHE had to sign his BC cuz no doctor CAN unless they SAW it.
What I did NOT know: 7:45 A.M. is NOT my actual birth time. 7:45 A.M. was when the doctors plucked me from the Buick, and what they insisted HAD to be put on my BC. I was actually born at 7:15 A.M. (my grandparents DID have the presence of mind to note the time for my Mother!) and I was a half-hour old when they reached the hospital. I never knew. It never came up.
That means I have an AQUARIUS Rising, NOT Pisces. And that explains a HELLUVA lot. o.o
