... some of your fondest childhood memories? The ones you still think about today, and can't help but smile .. or ones that were so profound to you that you will reflect back to them before making a decision.
One of mine is music/dancing .... oh gawd, my parents so loved music and they would gather the children in the living room to dance and have fun. All different kinds .... Herb Albert, the Beatles, Roger Miller.
To this day, when I dance ......... I can see my dad and mother look at each other with their eyes twinkling.
I remember my parents use to entertain a lot. We had a club basement and all the adults would hang out down there after they finished cooking this massive feast for everyone in the house. They would listen to great music (we had a picture of Elton John in our guest bathroom) drink, and smoke joints. I didnt know they were joints until I got older! But I loved the feel of our house when we had guests, and going to bed two flights up hearing the music as it put me to sleep.
Don't have many, my childhood pretty much sucked."
Ah, i'm sorry guys. 😢
Being a terror on my bicycle, Tonsillitis, Hay fever, My mother's parents (who thought the sun went out when i sat down), Rainy Sunday afternoons when there was absolutely nothing to do. Not minding having to go to school (that stopped at about 10), and having 100s of G.I.Joe figures.
Everytime I hear a zipper, especially a thick one .. makes me melt inside and feel like I'm completely aligned ... calm, serene, happy.
When I was a kid, we spent our summers camping for the whole three months out of school ... and we lived 24/7 in a tent. Being out in the wilderness was intimidating to my little self, often feeling lost, or like a small helpless creature in this vast forest.
At night, when my dad zipped us up in the tent, my siblings and parents on either side of me (I was the baby, so I was in the very middle sleeping bag) .... hearing this zipper created a sense of protection to me, once closed up .. I was safe.
Even now, when I hear a zipper .... it perpels me into a sense of comfort and trust.
I had a very wonderful childhood and tons of fond memories! 🙂 For starters, i was a *very* active, somewhat daring, yet responsible lil child (you'd think i was wee lil aries..LOL) I just had to get outside and do something every single day, enjoying every season with my friends and siblings, just playing rough and tumble in the deep deep snow and racing down the highest hill i could find..LOL Winter being my favorite season! I just know my sensuous taurus riser was already kickin' it some. 😉 my senses run amuk! I also had sooo much fun with my comrades doing character plays/skits and drama taken from films or soundtracks. A highly friendly independent child, if nobody came with me to take on that awesome big hill, i just went myself..lol i had a friend who was an awesome diver/swimmer and we would walk clear across the big city as pre-schoolers, just for a lil afternoon dip.. my parents gave me lots of free rope.. (my mother is an aries) *but i used it wisely and stayed safe. 🙂
