Yes. What do you think about popular music?

Some people have said that popular musics are tools to stimulate reflexes such as dancing. But I personally think that popular musics are just couple minutes of true garbage. What people do find in them is actually nothing compared to meaningful musics such as war musics that they can get. In the debate I had been pointed out that the musics that I listen doesn't include physical expression like dancing. I think that's wrong. Absolutely wrong. I think war musics include alot of dancing.

What do you think?

Hello again.

I guess I've given very shallow information about what I wanted to know and it seems like it is not popular thing among you people.

Okay.

First of all I want to say that I divide musics into two groups. Verbal musics - the musics that include human voice therefore lyrics - and Melodical musics - these musics doesn't include human voice.

What Tiamat has mentioned was only Verbal musics, because the foundation of meaning in these musics are lies within it lyrics. The melody often is disregarded there. And yes I do accept these musics as meaningful and therefore good. Because they do reflect some realities about people in general or singer's own experiences. For example Eminem. The melody in his musics are generally worthless piece of sh!t (when compared to Melodical musics). The most important part in these musics is associated with rythm of words and melody followed it.

Melodical musics are different. I gave example from War Musics because I find those musics personally extremly appealing as a meaningful musics. However, there is problem with this particular group of music. The musics of that group is not an individual group of musics when compared to the rest. When I say War Musics, I mean musics that mostly used in War movies such as Gladiator, Crimson Tide, The Rock and so on. These musics are generally collected under group Soundtracks. I also feel sick when they were grouped under this group. They are totally different kind of musics and should be respected according to that. I think grouping them among other Romantic musics and musicals of other Movie musics is kinda unfair. They are totally different.

What is so special with War musics?

They are loaded with tremendeus amount of meaning in them. Altought the meaning of these musics is differs between different people, I often find those meanings as somehow similair.

Most people doesn't really aware about how deeply they attracted to those musics. But I personally know how much it is and often get mad at people when they disregard them before consciously identify them with their minds.

On the other side of medallion, I find most other musics as totally meaningless. Take some popular singers as example: Britney Spear, Most of the Rock/Metal bands etc. They give no meaning. Only animalistic boasting of reflexive nature of humankind. What is the worth in it?

Yes Tiamat.

I do get into game musics pretty good. I especially very much like musics from War games. They are similair to Movie musics. Currently I listen to Medal Of Honor Allied Assault Musics such as:

Fleeing from Catacombs
Jacques Death
North Africa
Schmerzen (Second best I think)
Taking Out The Railgun (the best I think)

I didn't listen to Final Fantasy musics before though.

So war music is contemporary classical? Nobuo Uematsu sure is a genius. I really like his very long arpeggios that span over 3 octaves sometimes.

I see music with vocals as a cross between music and poetry, so i'm a bit less critical about the musical content. Instrumentals have to be awesome though because that's all there is, the message is the music itself.

Popular music might have a lyrical message sometimes, but the phoniness is so overbearing and the musical content so pathetic that it's usually unlistenable.
