Okay, latest news release says cost is based on supply and demand. I am not buying it. With fuel prices out of control no one can afford to have that kind of demand. If anything it has caused us to buy more fuel efficient cars, get rid of gas guzzling SUV's, be more aware of how we use our fuel. You read it in the headlines "less people are taking vacations because they cannot afford it".
My theory it is the only commodity that can help save the falling dollar. I find it interesting that one of the only thriving economies right now is in Houston and Austin. Yeap, you got it, home of the oilers (Bush territory). It also gives oil companies free reign to drill in places that have been off limits i.e. Alaska, Wyoming, and Colorado. The media is telling us we need to rely less on foreign oil.
I don't know, someone who follows this headline......and actually has a real clue to this dilema give me some insight. Please don't feed me what is in the headlines either .....because I don't buy it.
SB - Interesting synopsis. Makes you wonder if oil companies have financially influenced auto makers like Doge, GMC, and Ford to produce SUV's. I know oil companies are VERY powerful.
In college I wrote a research paper for my environmental class on building something like the eurorail that would take passengers to a destination at very high speeds. Well once proposed in the 80's and was shot down ....by guess who ......yeap oil companies.
With gas prices as they are .....I am shopping for one of these. They are all over downtown.....no more expensive parking garage fairs, park on sidewalk, and 120mpg
gee it sucks that oil has dropped in price........im sure many people were hoping that it would stay up and then if obama got elected it would somehow become his miracle that caused it to drop. i dont think it matters who becomes president on what oil does, it will go up and it will go down and back up im sure and back down.
CJ I never said this was political. I am more interested in the Federal Reserve Board who pretty much regulate US economics, price, and interest rates. Not even a president is powerful enough to have this kind of power.
The power of a president is how much debt we can get ourselves into. :p
That is why I am a fan of Ron Paul who is a proponent to get rid of Federal Reserve.
I found the cutest Honda scooter with pink flowers .....omg .....retro gurl ...here I become. It is so damn cute. 🙂
You are soooo very right about the other guy on the road. I will definately be buying a helmet. I did find out that anything over 125cc needs a mortocylce liscence here in Colorado. So looks like I will need to take motorcycle class.
