Global Warming Hoax

I find it a bit interesting, that even though scientist have confirmed that our planet is going through a normal cycle of warming and it is not all caused by fossil fuels the democrates are focused on this topic still.

What are your thoughts on global warming?

Guess that would include you PFE. 🙂 Not sure why this is so dumb. It is truth. Talk to any scientist about global warming. There is evidence that Mars is heating up and that what is happening to our planet is part of a natural cycle. Look it up and read about it. I actually had a conversation with a scientist friend who is a geologist and her theory support the poles shifting and that is the cause of climatic change. She explained it as the earth teetering back and forth and it has been doing this since the 80's. It will eventually shift where Alaska is seeing tropical weather and south America is in the ice berg of snow. We were talking about weather phenonemom and how the seasons are off. Here in Colorado where we experience all four season most certainly are feeling it. Our spring is unusually cool this year and we are expecting snow in our mountains this weekend which is not common this time of year.

Yes, I do believe that our dependency on fossil fuel is horrible however I don't think their is solid evidence or at least debateable evidence tht fossil fuel is not the cause of global warming. So call it dumb if you wish, but I am more likely to believe scientist who see facts and data rather than some politician who decided to go on his own theory. Don't get me wrong, I followed Al Gore in the 90's with his Earth and Balance book and actually participated in the COPIRG movement in college. My personal theory on global warming and environmental issues are more of money making venture rather than if we actually care about our planet. Any intelligent person understands the debateable facts regarding global warming. Just look up permfrost thawing, this is actually causing more concern to scientist than fossil fuel burning. The permfrost melting is what is causing the harmful greenhouse gases released in the atmosphere.

(Even if) global warming is not as solely eventful as believed, we can still do alot more to clean up the air-environment. It should be done on any account, regardless of contradictory studies. At any rate it isn't good to see the antarctic & greenland icesheets slipping away before our very eyes, at unusual, unforseen levels. It doesn't really matter how we categorize these changes; it's all happening anyway, and is very real. Question is, how are people going to adjust in the not too distant future? (i agree, we can't depend on oil reserves forever, the auto & similar industries are just going to have to adjust with the newer enviro-times.)

btw, i believe there are still 5 or 6 ice shelves left in Canada. They're rare outside Antarctica and it looks as if, soon they will all be gone. As far as I know, the only other place in the North with ice shelves is in the Russian Arctic Archipelago of Severnaya Zemlya.

Also: "From the 1970s through the 1990s, perennial ice declined by about 500,000 square kilometers (193,000 square miles) each decade. Since 2000, that amount of decline has nearly tripled." (i've read too, that unusually strong wind currents/shifts have been tearing away at the ice, as well.)

My next question how do you explain the ice age? This is what initially caused the dying of the dinasours. If you think about that ......it makes sense of poles shifting. My friend, Rock Lady (we call her this because she is a geologist), talks about how the rocky mountain region used to be beach front property as their are fossils of fish found in the rocky mountains. How do you explain that? The wooly mamouth became extinct because the ice started to melt causing huge massive sink holes ....where they would go to bath and drink and end up dying because they could not get out. Climate change has proven to kill off whatever civilization at the time.... It would make sense .....if you think of all the climatic catastrophe. So case in point wooly mamouths and dinasours did not use fossil fuel to transport themselves .......what caused the climate to change so drasticlly ....than causing them to go exitnct?

Don't know if we can change the cycle of mother nature. We like to think we are so powerful, but often times we are most powerful to our own destruction. We have advanced so fast that we cannot help our own dependencies i.e. oil, technology,

It is interesting to share my friend Rock Lady says one thing we won't address is our over-population. Her theory, the reason for major catastrophy is to shed off some of our over-population. It is mother earth's natural way of shedding so to speak. More people create more demand on our dependency on our natural resources causing us to build more buildings and pave more roads (on once sacred farming land or in our rain forest), pump more oil, causing more CO2 pollution, etc., high demand on mass food production.

So yes it is true we have made some contribution to our own demise ......but we cannot help but question if the warming of the earth is also a natural cycle on its own. Can we be smarter than the dinasour and prevent our own extinction? Who knows what we can and cannot do.....hell we have learned to clone ......and we have put man on the moon.
