What are the taxes like in the Uk and USA? I have heard that Australians are taxed heavily in comparison. I know that if you earn over a particular amount here, they take 50 cents out of every dollar. That also applies if you have a 2nd job even if the first job is not paying that much. Totally suxs here, and they screwed us again with the GST.

That's really rediculous. That's what's wrong with socialism.

I think the u.s.a. has the lower tax. after all is said and done I am guessing we pay between 50 to 60 % of tax here. I am for a better system but do not know what. I get free interest on money because I invest off shore.

a nother thought in america you go to by something and you pay more than the price says. here if something is marked 10 pound then you pay ten pound?

Yeah, it's called sales tax... It's a state tax, so it depends on what state you're in...

true. i hate it here though u get double taxed. for the pint that u get income tax and tax on ur paycheck also. on the moeny u make too. so to me raise taxes on the stuff u buy on the dollar and no taxes at all on the money u make. pople would have more money to spend if they choesse too.
