Why do women always want the ex to want them back?

First let me say this: your ex does not want you back! Let me repeat this: Your ex does not want you back.

If your ex is calling you and claiming he wants you back, it's only because he is probably lonely or hasn't found the right woman yet, but he will, and when he does, you will still be claiming he really wants you!

Women bother me with this shit. They cannot get over their ex, so they need him to constantly want them back! Do you think that if you were so great that he would have ever let you go? Men are not hard to read. When they like something, they use it. But when they love something, they keep it forever.

I have seen women go so far as consulting with voodoo priests and all this wild psychotic shit to keep a man wanting them. MOVE ON! There is a man out there for you and there is a woman out there for him.

Do you do this? NO HE DOES NOT WANT YOU BACK BITCH!

Ha 🙂 Love the blunt approach TruthIs...

It is not just women actually. Quite simply we all want what we can't have, and begin to obsess when we are denied our desires...
Its basic human nature and there have been studies done showing how the phenomena works- and it can be the simplest things. You decide you want a BLT Bagel for lunch, but when you get to your favourite cafe they are all sold out. Dilemma! So you settle for the nearest equivalent but are not at all satisfied and you eventually go back in a couple of days time (a little earlier perhaps) just to get the damn BLT bagel.
Scarcity laws, supply and demand are used all the time in consumer strategies.

But now we know the psychology of it, the real trick is to have STRATEGIES to deal with it... 😛

I may/might have missed some for a while, like a few weeks to few months (depends on how long we had been together), but never reached to/or over a point of a year or more than that. It's just too long time to hold on - to someone especially is a part of my past and not in my life any more. And missing and wanting them back are two different things (to me, at least) - I may miss the time and memories I have shared with them, but I've no intention to get back with them.

@OP:

To your original question, the answer: ego. Outside of physical abuse and severe emotional trauma, most break ups are about ego. They want him up want them back because their ego has convinced them that they're great to be with or that they deserve it. Truthfully men are the exact same way. "The good men" sit and watch and get upset because they're not chosen by these women. Some even get involved in the effort to win them over but only get passed over. Why? Because its obvious she's not ready mentally and spiritually. She uses your good energy to ponder and chase after her ex while the bad energy she gave you makes you angry. To her, and this may not be the truth, but you appear just as selfish as her ex. Because she is blinded and is used to him, why move on to someone is appears to only be good because they are making an effort to get them?

The solution, be a friend but don't get attached or emotionally involved and wait for a woman...or man if you're a woman...who is ready.

Real men don't give a damn about a woman wanting them back. Once a man has had you, he can always have you back.

Ladies, if your ex is chasing you, it's a game that you're playing with each other. You want him to want you and your ass is either lonely or bored yourself and can't stand the thought of him being happier than you. On his end, he's BORED himself and it's the "chase" that he likes. The fact that he already had you says it all. You're not that hard to get.

The reason I posted this is because women are always trying to say how great they are because the ex wants them back. How about if you meant that much to him, then he would have never let you go? Move on and find a man that really wants you. Let go of the ex, if you really cared about each other than you would let the other move on.

As for getting back together, people who do that shit are corny. Get back together for what? So you can break up again!

And I speak from experience. I have virgo, gemini, scorpio, and sagi in my chart, I was the girl who wanted to be the best girl for my ex. But than I grew up and realized that there may be a better girl for him and that I needed to get over it.

Certain situations that a man would want to get his ex back is one of two things:

a)the ex is going out of her fucking way to be wanted back! In miami this is how the voodoo priests stay in business, an ex girlfriend that wants to be wanted back and will do any fucking ritual for the shit.

OR...

b)his life is fucked up and he needs that ex who accepted that he wasn't shit. He wants your desperate ass to do the same desperate shit you did when you were in the relationship to boost his ego.

I never want my ex back. To take it even a step further, I block him from email and my phone so he can't contact me. The only reason why they want you back, if they do, is for their own selfish purposes of trying to make themselves feel better and attempt to do it right the second time around (which if it didn't work the first time, the chances of it working the 2nd are fairly slim), they are lonely, or they just want to see if they can.

Ex's are ex's for a reason. If anyone I know starts thinking that they want to get back with theirs, I simply tell them, remember why it didn't work out.

Nah, I don't want any of my exes back. They do tend to pop back into my life but I chalk it up to nostalgia and don't get sucked back into the past. I think when this does happen with women it's probably for 1 of 2 reasons: they are immature and just want to believe they are still loved/needed or they really did love their ex and are struggling to get over. Believe it or not, BOTH men and women do actually fall in love and get their heart broken. In fact you know you're over the relationship, when you stop pining and hoping for a miracle. Some of that it's just part of the healing process. It takes time to move on. Have compassion for yourself and others cuz love is a battle field and 9 times out of 10 we do our best, not matter how foolish that looks to others.

I agree with a lot of what has been said but, much like most things in life there are exceptions of course. I've seen plenty of couples break up and then end up settling down and I myself have been through somewhat of that experience so I know that it's possible. I agree that in most cases the past should remain in the past. It is definitely not difficult to understand why some people (men and women both alike) want to reunite with someone they once loved and shared a special bond with though. I'm sure whether we admit it or not we've all been in that position so to judge others for being in the same predicament is hypocritical and unfair.

Some people do indeed change and mature, while of course others don't. Someone who was once not compatible with you years ago, could possibly be compatible with you now. Realistically, nothing is set in stone and most importantly nothing is impossible.
