As a person very familiar with Scandinavian culture and with a love of leos:
I'd say most Scandinavians are at least decent English speakers, but I would still not read a lot into the "with love" comment. Often when Scandinavians use the English language, they seem to exaggerate more than they do in their own languages, imo. When they write "awsome," they may mean "good." Things like that.
Another thing that strikes me differs between Scandinavian and American culture is that Americans seem to be A LOT fonder of LDRs than Scandinavians, in general. In fact, I have yet to meet a Scandinavian who is willing to do that, and I have met plenty.
This doesn't in any way mean that he didn't mean what he said in the text or that he doesn't want to be in a LDR with you. I'm merely informing you of my experiences and then you be the judge. You know him(at least slightly) - I don't.
The warning sign for me is his no-response periods. In my experience, a leo who wants you, lets you know and will absolutely not risk not contacting you. It may be the distance - him realizing that it's not going to work due to that, or something else. But if he was sure he wanted you and a relationship with you, long distance, even, he would be all over you.
This is just how I see it. Good luck to you!🙂

Either way, not great. But the thing is, he didn't give me any bad vibes in person and normally, I'm very intuitive and overly analytical, so I've ended relationships and cut people off very quickly in the past if it doesn't "feel" right.
By "first message", I meant the first one I received after we parted ways, upon my arriving home, so after the in-person interaction. Just realized I didn't make that clear, but it probably doesn't make a difference.
Also, I'm a Pisces sun with Virgo moon and Gemini ascendant.
