What does this mean to you?

Your interpretation please. :-)

"You have a piece of my heart."

That reminds me of this very graphic demonstration someone did on saving your heart (basically was an abstinence campaign.)

He had this turkey sandwich in a ziplock bag and was like "let's say this is your heart...you give it to someone, your first bf/gf..." & he handed the sandwich to this girl standing next to him. She took a bite and started chewing.
Then he's like "let's say you guys break up...you take what's left of your heart and move on..."
So the girl spit out the chewed up sandwich back in the baggy and handed it back to him.
Then he's like "when you meet your next gf/bf you give them what's left of your heart..." & handed another girl the sandwich, which she also took a bite, chewed it, spit it out into the bag, and handed it back to him.

He passed that sandwich to like 6 girls before finally there was just this bag full of chewed up bullshit
& was like what's left to give the person you will eventually meet and want to spend the rest of your life with?




I almost threw up.



Still had sex though. Lol 🙂

Let me explain a little more...

we were talking about how much we miss each other (working so much, we both are), that we care for and mean so much to each other. Then he said those words...

lol ohh basically hes reassuring you his love is real and a piece of his heart will always be there for you during your times of loneliness, until y'all meet each other again than you'll have his whole heart. hope this helps Wahoo!

It made me think that what I heard him say at the grill two weeks ago are his true feelings. He's opening up. I REALLY think he is genuine and does care alot about me. I couldn't imagine saying that to anyone if I didn't mean it. As a male, could you say that to a woman if you didn't mean it?

That's nice to know...that makes you a GOOD man! He's a good man too. I think he's just slow opening up which I understand. We were both married for so many years, it's really is like starting over at the pupply love stage kinda. Weird, but true.

It also sounds like this man is into you Micha. If he was a player or didn't mean it I wouldn't think he would use those particular words. Of course, I am not a man so can't say for sure but it sounds like you mean something to him IMO.

Yeah, there is a tiny bit of history since we did go to school together...just haven't seen each other in 18 years.

I think people look too deeply at the word "piece" and assume since you're not getting the whole thing, it's not good enough.

I think he's telling you exactly what he feels.. you have a piece of his heart, meaning you mean a great deal to him. As much as his family, closest friends, etc.. Which in itself is a pretty big deal. 🙂

Exactly. There are so many who have a piece of my heart. I think what QLibra meant was when we do get to see each other...AT THAT particular moment. This guy has a big heart and I know it doesn't all belong to me. He has grown children and family also as do I. :-)

He means a great deal to me also. I REALLY care about him...he's amazing.

I generally don't like the word, "piece" in that quote. I guess its because it adds super extra corniness. I don't like too much corniness.

I wouldn't say he's a player or that I've ever known him to be one. He was married for 18 years (as was I) and stayed way too long in an unhappy marriage for the sake of his children. He does come across as a flirt as do many Libras, but I know this. He has a similar personality to mine (Gemini).
