i realized that this mans intentions were anything but bad. in his mind, he was doing probably the most righteous act one could possibly do, and that is supporting these peoples everlasting FAITH in god. and in a sense, there is some good to it because god's faith is a strong source of faith (constant delusion) and faith is what keeps the spirit striving forward into jubilation. but the reality is that the source of faith is but a dream...an illusion, if you will.

i recently went to a church. its one of those..how do i put it..."hip"? churches where you will not find a very old and most likely child toucher preacher with some kind of head wear or not one of those churches where you can tell it just took way more money than it really needed to build. there is a young pasture (middle age, and since hes a preacher he has been through every experience that anyone has ever been through so whatever it is, he knows how it feels), some college students and maybe some highschool students who play in the band in sing. so i guess you could call it a community church or something. get the picture? k
i have never enjoyed feeling so good about being so out of place. throughout the service there were times where i had to control myself from blurting things out, burst out in laughter, but more than anything i found myself just looking around and feeling terrified...it was really a traumatizing experience.
and it seemed i was alone in feeling this, as i watched people throw their hands up and sway their bodies to the music and singing of the young people on the stage. believe me when i tell you it was exactly like a cult...such deep and willing faith and fanaticism...it left me in a state of shock because i have been studying the muslim world, (which is based on fanaticism, law of jungle, sometimes violence, group mentality) and i was seeing that very same deep belief and fanaticism in these people, that i read about in the muslim world concerning groups such as the taliban and al qaeda. now granted that these people were not violently spreading their religion and killing people, bombing ect. but do not think for a second that the people who occupy these churches are not capable of things like that, because they very well are. both groups of people have the excessively deep belief in a god, and they are very well capable of doing the same things the taliban does. its just a matter of what they think their god tells them to do and if they see it as a right.
now im not going to get into debating difference in beliefs because thats irrelevent. but if you go to church i just want you to take a minute or two out of your worshiping and watch it. watch it closely and you'll see what im talking about. its truely terrifying.
