What if you are living in some small jungle village and the only thing you know is that everytime you get a hardon your dick shows beneath the little loinclothe you're wearing and then you learn somethign new = the chicks tits hanging out is what is making your dick grow? And then you learn something new .. eating dead snakes that you speared 4 days ago makes you throw up .. and then you died. You never knew a christ .. except for saying, "Jesus fucking christ, my dick is showing out from below my loinclothe again".

As much as religion has changed/developed so diversely, being heavily influenced by the dogmatics of such varying doctrines/practices .. how can it even be said that a 'law' exists?

When Jesus was asked by his disciples what they should do when the city they preached to rejected them, his answer was simple. 'Walk to the edge of the city, dust off your sandals and go to another.' He never out right condemned anyone even though he said the only way to Heaven was through him. There was no damnation of the citizens.

You bring up an interesting point about cultures unaffected by missionaries or the outside world. It's amazing that all of them have marriage, death ceremonies and worship a higher being. It's something intrinsic in all humans. Some wise knowing or you could say superstitious behavior. We share that and it's what I've relied on when I've visited tribes along the Congo. They have a strong sense of a 'higher being'& are probably more 'God-fearing' than most Christians I've met. Who's to say God doesn't accept it? And don't look to the fire & brimstone fundamentalist preachers who will tell you otherwise. I say it's blasphemous to think you know the mind of God and if you are a true believer you would know you don't have the right to condemn anyone.

Because there is no answer, did you even read the previous post? Obviously not. There isn't anything in the Bible that says what happens before or to those who aren't aware of Jesus. And it doesn't matter. How will that change anything as far as YOUR belief? What happens to those people and any judgment of people practicing other religions is up to God. Only Christians can believe the what Jesus taught as their faith, the rest has free will and what happens to them we will never know. Believing is not about knowing these answers because even if I gave you an answer, how would you really know it was the truth? It's about faith.

I was told by some mormans that after you die you will know this stuff even if you did not in life and be given the chance to acept it.
I however believe in SHABOOM and the Higgs Boson ot as some call it the God Particle.

Smarter people than us through the history of time have discussed this subject. Your location makes no difference, your consciousness however does. In this way of thinking without studying theology, history & philosophy, you're on a 2+2=3 mode. The debate has gone further than the question posed by the op but the jury is still out on the ultimate answer. Why? I agree it's maddening but there just isn't a physical scientific theory to even explain love, for example. Try to explain in tangible terms what love is. What is the physical theory of love? Not the effects, (marriage, relationships, children) no, the ORIGIN of love. It's actually useless for living things. Plants don't need it, animals could care less.

Take ambition for power instead of love. Where's the physical theory there? It has impacted us greatly. Death, destruction, countries forever changed, forced immigration... The world in material terms can be answered through science but the metaphysical world is much more elusive but affects our lives greatly.

Faith should not be disregarded. After all, faith has materialized in our world as wars, in acts of charity & in overcoming adversity. It may be the most powerful force. The lack of proof of God may be the gift of faith.

Kierkegaard said, "Faith is the most important factor in religious questions. If I am capable of grasping God objectively, I do not believe, but precisely because I cannot do this I must believe. If I wish to preserve myself in faith I must constantly be intent upon holding fast the objective uncertainty, so as to remain out upon the deep, over seventy thousand fathoms of water, still preserving my faith."

I'm all for science to keep searching for a neat theory to tie it all up in a bow, but like most theories in the burgeoning world of science it can be dis-proven in time as many have. So the question of faith rears up again. And the only question we can answer is where do you want to put your faith in? Science or something else?

Hell if everyone from the dawn of time till now was good, would there be space in heaven for all the trillion billion of us?

Hope and fear. That's the secret to life and a want for there to be an afterlife.

Religion gives hope, which is why people'd rather hold roses dear while ignoring the thorns that prick at their minds.

People fear this pointless condition and their egos want for something more meaningful.

But becoming an "angel" or a beloved being or whatever and singing God's praises for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.... seems like a WAY more pointless way to live than having all this free will and a finite time to do what ever with it, IMHO.

Yes, I think this too.

If people would comprehend this as it pertains to themselves .. they would realize that they stuff unsavory thoughts away or drill them out of their head all the time .. due to fear of realizing the actuality that they thought this way.

Because they are afraid of it = they are afraid of themselves for thinking it = they can't handle the truth = they prefer to be blinded by a distraction which takes all blame away from them if they simply wish it to be so.
