To study Buddhism is to study the self
To study the self is to forget the self
To forget the self is to be awakened by all things
And this awakening continues endlessly

An amazing essay the "Genjo Koan" was by Eihei Dogan, which the above is an exerpt ........... if you want to come to terms with Buddhism, the above is the first set of principals you need to come to terms with.

To be Buddist ............ your final goal, which takes a long time and has to be learnt .. but, you can know the end, in fact you should know the end because it is what you are striving for ........

.............. Dharma: the accurate understanding of truth

And this is obtained by realizing that you don't want karma, karma is bad, all of it .... because it means you are still asleep within the self and still creating karmic debt to pay.

To transcend, it requires you to not have any debt to owe .... so long as you have karmic debt, your spirit can never rest ........ to reach Dharma means you no longer have a karmic debt because you fully understand the truth.

And the truth cannot be told to you by another, for it is yours alone ....... yours that you aquire on your journey of finding your spirit ... and an amazing journey at that.

Have a great time .... in the end, if you reach Dharma, your reward will be your true self.

This is the only faith that has resonated with me. If I can add another book ....The sacred warrior path. I studied and practiced Buddhism at the Shambala Center of Boulder. I even had a teacher whom I studied the sacred path with.

Best wishes on your path.

Namaste,

PD
