TLH
Your welcome.
As you?ve mention about poops from last posts.. yeah I agree with parallax last statement, but if you scroll back to first page, is what I?ve said at the first place and I?ve even tried couple of times to avoid the conflicts..!!
My soul, my heart and mind are not poisoned and darkened, on the contrary, right now I have no question about anything, my internal conflicts and questions about rights and wrongs are stopped long ago (honestly and truthfully), and my deepest, most profound questions has been answered either by inspirations or by directly witnessing the facts in front of my very eyes..!!.

And a very old belief says:
The God is young, and is in conflict with himself (light and dark) is both side of the God, (God?s created the human in his ?picture?) look inside and you?ll understand the God instantly, the religion beliefs were created to comfort the God in this eternal conflict and madness, God grew up and moved to the next level of his existence (life is multi layer), "like human does when they grew up from the cradle and forget its sweetness" but we still carry his banner with pride and honour and we hope he will get back someday and enlighten us with his new knowledge.
Ancient African (tribal) belief.
Peace

The Morning Star is a left-wing daily newspaper published in Britain, founded in 1930.
j/k

According to encyclopaedia explanations
Lucifer is a Latin word derived from two words, lux (light; genitive lucis) and ferre (to bear, to bring), meaning light-bearer. Lucifer does not appear in Greek or Roman mythology; it is used by poets to represent the Morning Star at moments when "Venus" would intrude distracting imagery of the goddess.

Luz

Satan = Ahriman
That?s the correct name of the bugger, the twin brother of Ormazd.

Ormazd the god of light and Ahriman the God of the darkness from the ancient religion in Persia (Zoroastrianism) their belief is like Christianity based on trinity. But much...much older..:!

Check this out first:

The word ?Lucifer? is used in the King James Version only once, in Isaiah 14:12: ?How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!? The Hebrew word translated ?Lucifer? is helel (or heylel), from the root, halal, meaning ?to shine? or ?to bear light.? Keil and Delitzsch noted that ?[i]t derives its name in other ancient languages also from its striking brilliancy, and is here called ben-shachar (son of the dawn),... (1982, 7:311). However, the KJV translators did not translate helel as Lucifer because of something inherent in the Hebrew term itself. Instead, they borrowed the name from Jerome?s translation of the Bible (A.D. 383-405) known as the Latin Vulgate. Jerome, likely believing that the term was describing the planet Venus, employed the Latin term ?Lucifer? (?light-bearing?) to designate ?the morning star? (Venus). Only later did the suggestion originate that Isaiah 14:12ff. was speaking of the devil. Eventually, the name Lucifer came to be synonymous with Satan. But is Satan ?Lucifer??

No, he is not. The context into which verse 12 fits begins in verse 4 where God told Isaiah to ?take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, ?How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!? ? In his commentary on Isaiah, Albert Barnes explained that God?s wrath was kindled against the king because the ruler ?...intended not to acknowledge any superior either in heaven or earth, but designed that himself and his laws should be regarded as supreme? (1950, 1:272). The chest-pounding boast of the impudent potentate was:

I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High (vss. 13-14).
As a result of his egotistical self-deification, the pagan monarch eventually would experience both the collapse of his kingdom and the loss of his life?an ignominious end that is described in vivid and powerful terms. ?Sheol from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming,? the prophet proclaimed to the once-powerful king. And when the ruler finally descends into his eternal grave, captives of that hidden realm will taunt him by saying, ?Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?? (vs. 16). He is denominated as a ?man? (vs. 16) who would die in disrepute and whose body would be buried, not in a king?s sarcophagus, but in pits reserved for the downtrodden masses (vss. 19-20). Worms would eat his body, and hedgehogs would trample his grave (vss. 11,23).

It was in this context that Isaiah referred to the king of Babylon as ?the morning star? (?son of the morning?; ?son of the dawn?) to depict the once-shining-but-now-dimmed, once-lofty-but-now-diminished, status of the (soon to be former) ruler. In his Bible Commentary, E.M. Zerr observed that such phrases were ?...used figuratively in this verse to symbolize the dignity and splendor of the Babylonian monarch. His complete overthrow was likened to the falling of the morning star? (1954, 3:265). This kind of phraseology should not be surprising since ?[i]n the O.T., the demise of corrupt national powers is frequently depicted under the imagery of falling heavenly luminaries (cf. Isa. 13:10; Ezek. 32:7), hence, quite appropriately in this context the Babylonian monarch is described as a fallen star [cf. ASV]? (Jackson, 1987, 23:15).

Nowhere within the context of Isaiah 14, however, is Satan depicted as Lucifer. In fact, quite the opposite is true. In his commentary on Isaiah, Burton Coffman wrote: ?We are glad that our version (ASV) leaves the word Lucifer out of this rendition, because...Satan does not enter into this passage as a subject at all? (1990, p. 141). The Babylonian ruler was to die and be buried?fates neither of which Satan is

Hi all?

Qbone?this FEAR you say drives the ignorant masses into religion is true?I too have seen it but it is the very same fear that drives you from religion my friend.
You are no different from those who fear or have a ?BLIND FAITH? in any religion driven only by theirs and your miss-understandings.

You quite confidently call this fear a ?legacy belief? and repeat that phrase many times but then battle through two separate posts to explain to TLH and in a third to me what that phrase means and never quite get there asking TLH on both occasions for more time to think or as I suspect to consult your websites for their ramblings...you don't even believe this stuff yourself!

You have NO concept of God Qbone and that my friend is the basis of ALL fear.

Qbone your participation on this topic/thread has been very central to it?s continuation and has provided many websites of what are essentially mere opinions and views to read as are mine and or Parallax?s.

Thanks for sharing those with us as I honestly have enjoyed reading them because I love to read opinion and the views of others to do as you say and I totally agree?to collect knowledge or life?s offerings which are always there for those who seek them in order that we as individuals may be better positioned to make up our OWN mind for OUR selves?and well I have?but am still un-wavered from my original point of view after reading these websites as I have.

Now before you bang your ?legacy belief? drum at me again and roll your eye?s back and say it?s yet again pointless to try and teach the brainwashed ignorant but then go on to post multiple replies please extend me the same courtesy and read my reply in full because it is long but not as long as some of your websites?because yes?

I still find your replies to be extremely bigoted and anti Semitic as does parallax but not because our opinions differ from yours or each others nor that we dislike you nor that we are scared of the ?truth? or brainwashed but because if you read the meaning of those words and phrases Parallax and I have rightly named you out of any dictionary and apply logic to the situation as you have on numerous occasions asked me to do you HAVE to agree with us?heck even Parallax and I are bigots?and your comments are extreamly anti-semitic so it?s time for YOU to do YOUR homework?but this is tit for tat stuff here lets get into the real meat of the matter here?

These websites you seem to find more ?divine? truths in and importance in sharing compared to any religious scripture I greatly suspect is because you have never really bothered to actually read any of those religious scriptures properly and with an open mind and heart, let alone cover to cover to get the FULL picture. Instead you merely from your position of ignorance armed with a mouse and the copy and past tool in your computer re-post them in the form of URL?s onto DXPnet because they are spoon fed to you on the internet in the form of antagonistic conspiracy which pathetically makes your one track God fearing mind feel learned, righteous and like it is actually onto something of importance?or doing good.

You are right my friend he who lives by the sword DOES die by the sword and the same goes for the pen which is mightier than the sword!

What are these websites arguments based IN and ON Qbone?

What are they about?

Where do they get their points of debate from?

What are they ACTUALLY highlighting?

In other words where do they stem from or where is their point of creation seated?i.e. their base value and reason for manifestation?

The answer through reading them is quite simply ? mostly the Bible but more importantly ? RELIGION!!!

The answer and REAL issues here re-iterated by your very own highlighting of them are quite simple and right under your nose in the very text you urge us to read but you don?t even

Hi durrie

Very nice post, with a lot of strange points...but it seems to be that you keep repeating and repeating yourself?to answering your post is time consuming challenge not a mind challenger..!!

First:
The word "anti-Semitism" is inadequate. It is a misnomer. The word was coined in 1879 from the Greek words "anti", meaning "against" and "Semite", meaning a descendant of Shem. The word was first used by Wilhelm Marr a German agitator, who created it to explain the current anti-Jewish campaigns in Europe. Since the Arab peoples are also Semitic people, it is confusing to use this term and it?s not the best expression.
Then we come across to JEWS.. to be JEW means that some must believe in laws of JEWS, as I have said it before?JEW is not a race?(they don?t carry a specific genetic codes and orders and there is no different between them or another humans ?or are they..??) JEW is belief system and that?s it, either you believe in it or not, or (in my case deny it)..So what the hell is this anti-Semitism accusation..!! is out of my sense of understanding?it will be the last time I am trying to explain it to you or who ever might ask in the future, if you don?t bother to read and understand what I?ve said, then it is pointless to say anything further.

Second:
Those earlier web sites that I pointed is basically designed to make the mind working to its limits and pushing individuals to searching for (if you are a believer, then you working against it, or if you are not, then you to search further to find a satisfactory answer)?those ideas works as a (shock)?just to get you out of the shell.

Third:
Let me introduce you to more powerful stuff?the (THEOSOPHY) go on and search for it (and DON?T TELL ME THAT I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT COD?S CONCEPT) I did my home works many years ago and what I say is not as baseless as you might think it is.
To ease up you job go and check this site.
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dp5/
As I have said it before?AGAIN?.it doesn?t matter what I believe (it is personal and I have no desire to share it with anyone), but I let everyone knows what I don?t believe.

Right now I have used almost all my free afternoon to answer your post, the size of it is scary?looks like a book?!!
But?I won?t post it now?I need you to answer my questions first.

1- How can you describe the colours to some one that have no idea about the colours and their shades and their waves..??

2- How will you explain the images to someone that never seen shapes before??.

3- If some mathematician explain some formula to someone that has no knowledge of mathematic what will happen?? Are we talking of misunderstanding or (not) understanding at all..??

These are a simple questions?now the hardest one

You laugh at my position behind my camera?and shamelessly call me a coward?!hehe, I can see that your mind (like parallax) is working against (as I suspected before) because of your pride and the basic elements of your existence get interfered by new ideas? that?s cool?but I am proud of what I do?With my camera I capture the moments of truth?those moments that none of you have ball to see or dare to feel?!!, yes?I capture and witnessing those moments that has no place in your ignorant mind and world of imaginary perfections?you are right I am not a hero to instantly respond against something evil.. But then?I have no desire to be one, speaking of evil..??...who?s evil here..?? The attacker or those who dies in this mess..?? Speaking of faith— When you get killed (especially by accident on those conflicts), what good is to have a faith..?? Faith to what..?? Who the hell are you to kill someone because of this FAITH, that you are blindingly armed to follow? What is this FAITH that seems to be you can?t be without..?

1- How would you react when you see kids with missing body parts in this war of ideologies?? O

"One day there were these two monks arguing at a flag pole. The first monk said: 'it is the flag that is moving'. The other monk said: 'no, it is the wind that is moving'. The first monk said: 'i'm sorry, but if you would look with your eyes you will see clearly that it is the flag that is moving'. The second monk replied: 'yes but it is the wind that is moving the flag, therefore it is the wind that is moving'.
After listening for a while, a third monk interjects: 'you are both wrong, it is neither the flag nor the wind, but your mind that is moving'. "

Hi All...

Bone...first off, I owe you an apology for miss-reading your 35mm SLR posting...I admit I read what I wanted to because of my haste to reply to multiple prior posts of yours coupled with my absolute dislike for guns...the analogy was a good one but for I have a deep seated personal dislike for guns of what more often than not seem to merely be tools for pre-mature and pointless death, killing and destruction of life!

-> Bigger picture I know - everything has it's place ? all events have reason!!!

I must get an internet connection at home...reading and replying on DXPnet while keeping one eye on my boss on the other side of the office is becoming more and more difficult and has lead to me jumping the ?gun? so to speak?haha!

Well...Bone. Our opinion and as such our understanding differs this we know but what we believe in and to be "true" I'm not so sure anymore.

I had a feeling this might happen - let me explain.

The last website you gave a link to I enjoyed reading and was very very interested in finding much agreement with?as I did selective stuff on the other websites you shared. Thanks again?

What is it do you think that decides our form...as humans?why are we here in this form on a plane of existence with other creatures alike and bound to this life in basic requirement for our life being manifest i.e. sun, water, air, earth?apart only in cognitive brain power—?

I believe that is the level of our conscience.
Now I believe we have free will and as such we are in charge of our destiny driven by our conscience understanding. In order that our soul is manifest in human form I believe we have on an individual level developed that conscience individually into the level of COLLECTIVE human conscience.

Now what we have is something very important to understand I believe. As such this now gives us TWO obligations. One is as always to ourselves in order that we keep in touch with our individual conscience progression and also to our collective conscience of human progression?understanding, forgiveness, compassion are a few of the ways of promoting this collective conscience and as such will indirectly help us all on an individual scale too.

New age thinking coupled with my own experience and investigation in life has always ment that I know everything in the world both visible to the human eye and not is of one original energy source or els God as many people like to call it.

True they may equate that ?energy? to a human form which may seem silly to you Qbone but is it actually?

I don?t think so and by calling that force of energy God it allows me to hold conversations with different people and their different positions of conscience individually within the pool of human conscience?surely this is the reason we can talk to each other and why we have no real way of saying dogs, cats and other beasts do not do the same if not by language but in similar fashion—?

While people who call this ?energy? God may only understand it in human type figure or form I realize through understanding it is still the same thing so what?s wrong with that?my conscious understands and so does theirs?but we are at different positions within the collective conscience?no harm done?we are all progressing Qbone!

This understanding Qbone...is the "faith" I speak of...and the very same "knowledge" you speak of.

I understand it better as "faith" because although every instinct inside of me knows this and lives accordingly I cannot conclude through knowledge of FACT that this is indeed the "truth"...life is a constant work in progress and my ?faith? makes it easier to bridge the gap of uncertainty and fear when I don?t fully understand something but?regardless of my HUMAN traits of fear and uncertainty?my gut instincts NEVER stop feeding my heart and soul information of and about my ?faith? and as such it keeps m

(this is a quote by durrie from above):

my question for us all: what is human?
im serious.
i asked "myself" this question before posting it and i sat in silence.

one for durrie: have you ever heard of the five aggregates? if not, they are considered so called buddhist fundamentals of "human existence". look them up when you have a moments time and your boss isnt watching from overhead. they may lead to something.

Everyone talks about true nature of existence, to be honest...most of those are so beautifully explained that one get confused over it "which one is for real?" as for today?s knowledge and combination of science/theology/metaphysic/ and lately new age stuff almost any thing can be explained (not proving) just another complex and confusing explanations for the seeking minds.
Older knowledge like the eastern and middle east belief tried to explain this (human) and its existence for ages, another very interesting knowledge from south America and Indian stories about existence "not only human.. but the whole thing" are also available, dated back to more than 10,000 years ago.!! This knowledge, (shamanism) especially interesting because of the date?!! Long before the eastern culture being introduced to South American cultures..!!

Anthropologist "Carlos Castaneda" wrote several books about it..!! for some, those are as holy as the bible.

? The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge (1968)
? A Separate Reality (1971)
? Journey to Ixtlan (1972)
? Tales of Power (1975)
? The Second Ring of Power (1977)
? The Eagle's Gift (1981)
? The Fire from Within (1984)
? The Power of Silence (1987)
? The Art of Dreaming (1993)
? Magical Passes (1999)
? The Active Side of Infinity (1999)
? The Wheel Of Time : The Shamans Of Mexico (2000)

More of this can be find here to gives you a "compact" idea for what he got to say.

http://www.prismagems.com/castaneda/
His books can be read as a philosophical/pragmatically text that express a world view by which a person can live one's life. There is a growing movement world-wide of practitioners of this philosophy.

One major premise of Castaneda's proposed world view is that Dreaming can be cultivated as a way to refine one's "awareness" to a point where extraordinary feats of perception can be achieved. Similarly, breaking routines and acting in new ways is recommended as a way to understand one's true relationship to the perceivable world. The combination of dreaming cultivation and controlled behaviour is said by Carlos to eventually give someone the ability to transform themselves into a higher state of perception.
As a physical support to these practices, a series of meditative stretching and posing techniques are practiced. This is called "Tensegrity" (a term borrowed from architecture) and has individual and group practitioners around the world.

Now..!! Before you all jumps into conclusion?let me reminding you that as a researcher you don?t have to believe in anything you read. The concept of Don Juan teaching is another view of the universe and its belonging (including us), please read it with open mind and DO NOT compare it with what you already know.

And Durrie
Thanks for the nice post and sharing your "true thought" with me/us.

cool. thats alot of books. it will take some time.
as for that human stuff-i dont really know how to answer. i dont really know who is answering. the modalities i "believe" in, what i have grown or chosen to look at the world with, does that make me human? my learned or chosen mode of social conduct, and with whom i associate this conduct with, does that make me human? does the idea of having a physical body that recieves physical/emotional/mental data, does that make me human? is physical pain a factor? what would happen if a neural surgeon opened my brain and stuck something in it to "shut off" all five of my senses? am i still human? at that point all i would be is mind and my breath but with no nerves to sense the presence of air. is human just breath and mind? if there were no sense receptors(eye, ear, nose, tongue, skin)mind would have no new data to process. would the old thoughts be cycled and cycled until they were eventually and inevitably forgotten? at that point would there still be mind? what is that spot? is that who i "really" am? and what of the breath at that point?
okay. gotta go pee.
bye
