I am sorry to inform you but it will go back to horse, mule and oxen power, at the end of the day.
I can also tell you that electric power is nowhere near as efficient as diesel fuel oil in the trucks, ships
and trains and aircraft. (personal vehicles, and public transportation: buses and private aircraft, being omitted)
First of all, the electric vehicle HAS come a long way but
they remain rather limited. At the present time, they are pretty much
confined to city operation, having limited distance. Also, as it concerns
commercial trucks, places like Port of Long Beach would be an excellent
application for the present technology. The surface is flat and level.
Try that electric motor going through the Rockies @ 80,000 lbs and it's toast.
Most of society fails to understand that energy technology as high tech as it is, is
still a lonnnnnnnnnnng way off. I doubt the commercial truck problem will be resolved
in 100 years. And not without consequence.
For every pro, there is a con.
