Difference between scorpio sun and scorpio rising

Hey !
I'm a scorpio sun and rising and I always read the same description for scorpio sun and rising
So is there a real difference between those ?

And does a scorpio necessarily is intimidating ?
Because there is always people who stare at me and don't look back and it's very frustrating but at the same time there are a lot of boys, especially in school always stare at me like I'm THE beauty queen (which I'm not) and look back when I catch them, but they never talk to me or something..
Or it happen that a boy love me but does nothing because he's afraid..

Does scorpio is THIS intimidating ..?
