Gift Idea for Scorp Friend

This is my first post so thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

I'm looking for a gift idea for a Scorp male friend. Of course *I* would like to be more than friends, but I don't think he's ready for that just yet.

My question is simple: Do Scorps like personal gifts (not sexual!), more thoughtful or more practical?

that matches his decor. ( or very simple
BLACK and no frills ) ... and two free
passes to the movies ...

I love sweet and thoughtful. Something that you took the time to make yourself or something you put a lot of effort into would mean the world to me. I'm not about practical or how much money you spent. But if you put your heart into it mine will melt.

I read that they like books and/or mysteries. We had discussed dreams we have had, and on our first date, (on his birthday of all days) I gave him a little dream interpretation book with a gold bookmark. He absolutely loved it.

I think the fact that I had remembered our conversation on dreams, and then got him that gift, that I had really been listening to his interests, made him feel like I paid attention. Later in the relationship, when I mention things he had said in the recent past, he appreciated the fact that I really had been listening to him when he had been talking about random things.
