How to believe in Sun signs?

Hello guys, I'm brand new member here. I'm interested in astrology for a long time, however over the last year I started having doubts about significance of Sun signs. First of all, I'm Gemini III with Scorpio ascendant and let me tell you, there is zero Gemini in me. People who know me a little put all their money on Scorp. I'm completely opposite to what you can read about Gemini. The second thing - I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man, triple Scorpio. And things go really well so far, it's like we read each other minds and have similar approach to most of the things. This is not supposed to happen with Gem/Scorp combo( I know there are always exceptions, but let's face the rule) !!! Or it should be very short term at least. Any thoughts?
