I don't care

People keep insisting on telling me things about themselves and I really don't care. If I don't ask you a question about you, I probably don't care. I hate it when people decide they're important enough to tell me their entire life story, every time we talk!!!

So where were we?

I was telling about that time in kindergarden when..

Gah!!!! It's shit like that!! I can't stand it!!!

It's just... there's this lady here at work that does it daily. Every time I see her she tells the same stories. THE SAME STORIES!!! I didn't care the first time, or the tenth time, or the hundredth time and I still don't care now!!! I've even told her I don't care and she still tells me anyway!

I communicate fine with people. I've never had trouble communicating with friends and making conversation. It doesn't matter where I shift the conversation. She still finds a way to jump back into the stories she's already told. I've never met anyone that does this. It's incredibly frustrating.

LOL ... Well, honestly, I love communicating with a male Scorpio with whom I've become close. Mainly because we DON'T talk a lot. He is very skilled with non-verbal communication and I'm fascinated by how well we understand each other and get things across without lots of talking. I like taking a break from all the chatter and just being quiet with him.

I don't know...I'm a Gem and I also don't give a crap what most people want to talk about. I'm a good listener, and have empathetic facial expressions, so people can't seem to leave me alone. On my first day of my new job, I got cornered by 3 different people who told me all kinds of intense, personal things about their lives...things I could never DREAM of telling a stranger. I listen to make people feel better, but it would be a lie to say I care at all. Is it the Scorpio rising?

We physically communicate just fine. Our issues stem from her doing something and I can't figure why she'd do that. And she can't figure out why I do what I do. And we talk about it, and we still just don't get it. I seem irrational to her, but totally rational to me. She seems irrational to me, but it's totally rational to her.

Friends are a very different story. I hardly know her. We've worked together three years, but we don't see each other every day. But over the three years, every time we see each other, every single time, she tells me the exact same 3 stories. The exact same. Nothing different. Just the same stuff. It's maddening.
